I can't find any threads about this, and I just don't know about this. I've had a bump in the front wall of my womb since at least 12, as sex education in sixth class made me curious and so on. A finger length in, with a main circular bump and a smaller less obvious above it, making an 8 kind of... Didn't have a clue age 12, figured it must be some part of the structure I didn't know about. I did biology for my end of school state exams. There was a paragraph about it, and it rang a bell, making me remember what I noticed age 12. I was thinking of getting the pill age 18, but the two events coincided and I decided against it. I forgot why I decided against it, and a friend asked me why I haven't gone on the pill. I looked up sites about fibroids, feeling like a hypochondriac, and it says the higher the amount of oestrogen, the more it would grow. I don't know why I'm posting here, but my bf said to, and it wouldn't hurt.. I'm just wondering if any of ye have had the same story or anything... I just don't know. I can visit GP but I'm a college student with no job, I don't know if I could afford gynecologist bills (whatever they are). And I don't know how to say it to my mam that I was checking in there and want to see one, seeing as she knows I've bought condoms, and being all Catholic old school, is scared of me having sex. She'd think I'm just trying to get the pill/pregnant or something like that. Uh, so that's my rant I'm just lookin for some insight, I plan on seeking medical advice, but I don't know how much gynecologists cost.... Thanks for reading this much text!
As a freak of nature it seems, since my surgical-gyno says he cant beleive what he saw is in a 27 year old. I get a full hystorectomy in DEC. Trust me a lot of places will take payments on a large bill. Some are lenient on smaller ones. AND if your on insurance, it isnt bad at all. Depending on where you are and what gets done it can range from $40.00 to $2,000-$3,000. The higher # is if theres a massive surgery like what Im having where there are too many adhesions in the way to do it THE NICE WAY. Ive been haranging my regular DR for years that I felt something wasnt right. AND I WAS RIGHT!! MY MOTHER is his patient as well, SHE WENT IN AND GAVE HIM WHAT FOR to get me an ultrasound. (He stalled on her and she had a mega-hysto at about 43 yrs old.) If your mom is freaked, it cant hurt to have her go with you. Yeah, mayby you'll get embarrassed, but if it helps her see WHAT YOUR REALLY DOING, then its worth it. Also, if it is big news, it helps to have a second person hear it too. You might forget a lot of it with all the stuff swimming in your head. And tell your mom you were checking on what didnt feel "right." My mom was raised Catholic, and neither of us see where theres any harm being done that should worry your mom. BUT, as a woman, as a mother, as someone who has had bad stuff in my repro system. GET CHECKED!!
