I just moved here from Wichita, Kansas AND I KNOW NO ONE. Is there anymore newcomers to Minnesota here. Or natives looking for someone else to call a friend.

Where do you meet people here. And please don't tell me the bars or clubs. I would like to meet some people and have real substance to the friendships.

HELP, LOST IN THE TWIN CITIES

Welcome to Minnesota. Hola chica. I'm in the twin cities as well. I'm still a youngin. I'm 20. I used to live in Lawrence KS. KS to MN. Me too. As to what to do around here, what do you like? Are you outdoorsey? They have the Arboretum in Chaska MN which is a gorgeous park. The Irish festival was just in town. Umm I know the reneissance festival is around (yes I know I spelled it wrong) We've got lakes. You need to get a boat and go out and drink on it, or mooch off a friend with one:) You can find small band venues at places like The Quest. If you do the bike thing we have some good trails. Up by Canada we got boundary waters. Yeah, good luck to you. As I am not old enough to drink I will not tell you to meet people at the bars. Maybe the grocery store:) I know I'm not that much help, but welcome to MN. May you love the green summers and be able to weather the cold winters. PM me if it gets really lonely and maybe I could set up a possy with some of my older buddies for a night out.

Try the Seward Cafe 2129 Franklin Ave. in Minneapolis not far from the river. It's very hippy friendly, alot of rainbow family folks and the staff would be very happy to help you out I'm sure. The Pulse weekly newspaper would also be a good place to check for whats happening. You could check out the Arise bookstore and resource center son Lyndale too very radical and hippy friendly. Good luck

i too would recomment Arise Bookstore, i like the folks there. You have to visit the rose garden by lake Harriet and the peace garden there, they are beautiful.

Why did you choose to move to Minneapolis? (just curious)
