I had a dream last night. I was at a rave, and met a new ager type I knew. He said he had some new herbal pills that were completely legal and were amazing. Strangely, they looked just like regular pills, but a bit sparkly. I asked him how much, and he said he wasn't a business man, I could have them for free. Then the fuzz turned up and started searching everyone. Knowing that my cargo was entirely legal, I handed it over to them for inspection without fear of reprecussion. But they weren't convinced, and started asking me all sorts of probing and increasingly bizzarre questions. They were about to arrest me when I realised that I was dreaming. I knew then that I could wake up, but before I did so, I decided to take control of my dream, and lodged a bullet between the pig's eyes.

    Then I woke up...

A strange dream, but some people have had real brushes with the law.

    What are your experiences?

That's lucid dreaming. I used to be able to do that every night. There are techniques for inducing them :)

Brushes with the law...wasn't me, but a friend's friend. It was around Christmas time...he was rolling a cig while sat in a doorway waiting for a bus when a cop passed by.
    "Is that a spliff?"
    "No, it's just a cigarette."
    "No, it's a spliff isn't it?"
    "No! It's just a cig!"
"Look, tell you what. Don't worry about it...it's Christmas and I'm nearly done working. I'll let you off this time."
    "It's not a spliff!"
"No, don't worry about it. I'll let you off, since it's that time of the year and everything."
"It's not a spliff! But since you'll let me off..."

The guy then took his gear out and rolled up in front of the officer, then lit it up.

haha sal u weirdo...i had a bizarre dream before i woke up this morning...there was a long white marquee and in there was a counter, like a bar cept without beer. i was behind the bar and this guy with a kid comes in an says had i got some music to keep her entertained, like kiddie tv theme music i presumed in my dream, so this morning when my alarm went off, instead of turning my radio up to get outta bed, i found myself messin with the tuner, trying to tune in this bloody kids radio station...before i realised i was making no sense, retuned the local station an leapt outta bed for work...hm oddness

Hahaha, fantastic story! What did the cop do? I know about lucid dreaming, and I've done it a few times before. Never regularly. But I can usually manage them when a dream is particularly bizzarre or frightening and I realise it has to be a dream. At that moment I stop myself from waking and control the dream from there. I can't do it in really good dreams, as I think I'd rather maintain the fantasy without wanting to think it's a dream....

I'm not sure what the cop did...I think he let the guy off like he said he would. I heard this story years ago, can't remember all of it :)

I've had odd lucid dreams before where I realise I'm dreaming, but can't control anything. I think it's a case of assertion...when that happens it's like I think "I'm dreaming oh well", when I begin to control a dream the mindset is "I'm dreaming, *I'm* in charge!"

i've been able to controle my dreams before but i always do it to the ones that are really bad. like this one particullar dream i had about my fiance cheating on me with another lass but blatantley shoving it in my face, deap down i wanted it to have a really good ending but instead i just made it get worse & worse. in the end i woke myself up, i thought about the dream for a couple of seconds before going back to sleep & the dream carried on. that happened twice, but that seems to happen alot my dream carrying on!

Been having really odd dreams lately. I'm on a nocturnal sleeping pattern which I need to sort out before work starts. So for the last few days I've been trying to keep myself up through the days...

To do so I've been watching high octaine action-type films. But occasionally nodding off and ending up in the films. The weirdest has to be the 'Escape From New York' / 'The Running Man' / 'Duel' dream...Can't really remember much of it now, but unfortunately it was more annoying than fun as I actually wanted to be fully awake or fully asleep.

    Anyway.

I've had suprisingly few run ins with the law. One that springs to mind though happened about a year ago. I was due to head down to my friend's house for the evening, so I built a spliff for the walk. So I'm on my walk, smoking away when a police car pulls up beside me and I hear the words, "Alright there pal? Get in the car"...

Naturally, panic hits me hard. Especially since I had a lung full of skunk which could be smelled a mile off. I remember the advice from 'Reservoir Dogs' (Shit in your pants, dive in and swim) - So I bend down to the window, exhale the smoke and nicely say, "Hallo there, what's up?".

"Oh sorry...we're looking for someone else"

    :D Phew!

    Not through it, no :D

But I had literally just taken a toke when the car pulled up and the window came down...I knew to say anything I'd have to breathe. So I just went all nonchalant about it, blew away the smoke on my way bending down to the window.

I still had a spliff in my hand so big that there was no chance of it being passed off as a cigarette!

    Was he hell! :D

It was scary, man. I thought I'd lost that weed ;)
Would of been a first offence, slap on the wrists, but had he took me in, I'd of never seen that skunk again. Which is what scares me the most about getting caught.

He looked pretty pissed off. Which was probably due to the real criminal that had eluded him.
