    hey there everybody!

i haven't posted here in several years, and needless to say i'm a total newb to growing my own. i've read through most of the posts here, and everybody seems really friendly and knowledgeable...so i was hoping to get some specific advice cause i have two plants which seem to be doing okay, and i'm just wondering when to harvest them. i haven't fertilized them at all, i grew them from seeds, and this is the first time i've had sucess beyond month old baby shoots which had to be abandoned for one reason or another.

the first four pictures are plant #1 and the second four are plant #2...though it's substantially smaller, i think 1 is a lot further along, and will probably need to be harvested before 2, but again i'm not sure when to do it. or if i've already waited too long? anyway, input would be greatly appreciated...

I'm no biologist (actually I want to be when i get older) but I'd say right now is an ideal time. I know I've heard people say how it's "harvest season" so don't wait any longer. Pick the dank-ass mofuckaz now ya hurrd? HAHA. but yea i'd pick em now before it's too late and they just wilt.

    Pick em! [IMG]

you want to look through a 30x magnifyer at the trichs and see what percentage are milky and what percentage are amber. Some plants turn purple long before they are ready to harvest. Yes it's harvest season, but not all plants mature at the same time, sativa's take alot longer than indicas to finnish flowering. The general rule is when the little hairs start changing color, that's when you start looking at the trichs. Normaly the best time to harvest is when 60% of the trichs are amber, that is the peek potency of the plant, from that point on it starts to loose potency. go get a 30x magnifyer or a jewler's loo and check them puppies out.

    They're ready.
    Chop chop.
The plant look great; 1 can only imagine what they would look like if you had given them adequate nutrition.
P.S. I recommend an immediant manicure, bag drying and a min. 2 week cure.

Once again, Ranger Danger is right on, they look about ready to me. (Wish we had a Karma system here, I'd give rangerdanger some +K. Every time I go to say something, he beat me to it. :) Without looking at the trichomes, it is really kinda hard to eyeball them, but even the lower stuff looks plumped out nicely, so I'd say take them at will. Peace, and enjoy.

davieblaze, welcome to the forums. It's just that your location caught my eye... I myself am from El Paso, but have been living in mexico the past 7 years. I was your age when I got here! Keep your shit tight.

oh, and btw, those plants are niice, but have probably been smoked already, judging by the date.
