    Hey fellers,

My fellow friends/tokers and I have our own fort. It can be mad fun at times, we can drink blaze, smoke, watch cable tv, eat, lay down, anything really. I contributed all the weed and necessites, while someone else usually gets alcohol, someone gets food, anyway, it's always my job to get weed and stuff, which I love.

We like joints, blunts, and my glass pipe I got, but what is a chill spot without a bong, right? We need a bong!!!

Anyway, I'm gonna give another gift to ourselves, a bong. I can't really afford a good glass piece from a head or smoke shop, and I'm very handy so I'll make one. This isn't gonna be your average gatorade bottle/duct tape/aluminum foil/pen tube crap job either, it has to be something I will be able to show and use with pride [IMG]

I'm going to make the actual bong out of a good glass bottle. I know I can drill through it already because I tested it already with my dremel with a diamond bit (for glass).

It's going to be a carb hole bong instead of a slide. I and going to get glass or metal tube to make the stem and I'll epoxy it or something through the hole in the glass.

The bowl is what has been bugging me. I can't buy a premade bowl. I thought I could possible use clay. Or, if there is any stores you guys know of that sell glass, I could use a blow torch to make a bowl from glass.

I thought the clay would be my best bet, because I know I can get it from a local craft supplies store.

What do you guys think? Any ideas for a good bowl. Please don't say aluminum foil.

Thanks so much guys, and extra thanks to everyone would read all that ^

    -Alan

P.S.- The fort is so ill!!!!

You're a cruel, cruel man. Keep it up!

Sorry buddy, but I'm not much help. You could stick with the clay until you find something more to your liking, I suppose.

Sliders are always the hardest part of making a home-made bong. Just look around your house, im sure you'll find something that could work...

I don't have a trumpet, and I don't want to go buy a moutt piece. And it's possible that the metal is harmful when heated.

Dollar stores and walmart are my places to find things to make a bong. Dollar stores you can find cool looking glass bottles and dont have to care as much if you break it.

I find when you are making a bong the stem or slide is the hardest. I would go to a hardware store and go up and down the aisles looking for parts. Stems are tricky, epoxy can work, just make sure that it safe for heat. Most glues also seem to dry out quickly and will need to be guled again.

GO WOOOOOOD BUDDY!!!!, its easy to shape with a dremel cut off saw its easy to drill a whole through and you dont have to use any epoxy. i know what you guys are thinking this skittle guy is crazy but dude think about it you go to a craft store you buy a wooden ball (they make them i have like ten. you find one big enough to accomedate the amount of weed u plan on smoking then you cut it in half drill a small whole then on the bottem you drill a bigger whole, this way the weed wont pull through right when you suck but the hollowed out bamboo stick that you stuck in the bottem will fit just perfect (also available at any craft store). then you make the whole in the glass bottle just the right size and bam you got your selfe a slide. and the fact that its a carb bong is even better cuz then you can buy a rubber ring also available at any craft store and make it air tight.

for the bowl i would use a small socket for a socket wrench those are heavy but work really well. dont use aluminum unless ur stupid. also go to a hardware stool and look at the small bolts they have. if u get like 3 of those and find a heat resistant adhesive that would work 2. i have tried that one but i have tried the socket it works. Oh also u'd be surprised how cheap some glass slides are on the net.. like 10 bucks. may be the best idea really...

I know you said you can't buy a bowl, but I really have to reccomend doing just that. A nice, legit slide (or bowl, whatever) takes a home-made bong to the next level. and if you're using it as a bowl and not a slide, you can just use a chillum which is like $10-$20, probobly about the same amount you're going to spend on buying something else and all the requiste shit to make it work.

Otherwise, Wood is a good bet.

I've seen many plumbing fixtures that could make good bowls. Check out a hardware store.

only think about homemade pieces is that some materials just arent safe to burn. some metals shouldnt be burned while others are fine. o yea, NEVER use pvc

Is it okay to use fish tank tubing as the stem?
