I was watching a tv programme which named the top 100 best albums ever (as voted by veiwers) and I am trying to find out the name of a band/group that I missed. I think it may have been from the 70's or 80's and it was was quite relaxing, soething about it being recorded in someones bedroom where the windows were open and you can hear the children in the school playground across the street in the background of the music. The video that went with it was predominantly blue with line drawn animations of odd things, like two guys sitting in a flying VW bus and that kind of thing. I missed the name of the group, I wonder if anyone here can help identify it?
What type of music was it? I can only hazard a guess that maybe it was Orbital or someone like that based on the 'bedroom' thing.
I only heard a very small part of the music, I think it's what most people would call ambient music, I'm afraid I can't describe much more than that, I was hoping someone might recognise the visuals or the part about the children playing in the background.
The mystery is solved, I went on Amazon just now and because I had already searched for the group you suggested, it came up with 'Air', which as it turns out is exactly what I was looking for, the album is 'Moon Safari', you probably know it.
