So today I heard that at the local school there was a "bust" LMAO at this, apparently at the elementary school next to us, a 3rd grader was busted by his teacher in class showing his "pieces". He had a bong with him and some weed, he apparently got suspended for 3 days for marijuana and parahalina. Gotta love the young stoners these days.
maybe if the kid with a gun was a stoner, he would forget the bullets, it would be a sick headline- weed saves school from massacre...
Absolutely beautiful. Snorting. Hah. I've no idea what the offenses are like at my school. I keep my high time and school time seperate, so I've never had to really pay attention... Otherwise I'd have even less of an attention span in class than I ordinarily do.
There is nothing humorous about that at all. An attempted school shooting is nothing to laugh at even if weed stopped it. But go figure a couple of 15 yr old kids getting their rocks off at the idea of a attempted school shooting.
3rd grade man I didn't even really know what weed was til like 4th grade, let alone know how to smoke it and use a fuckin bong lol.
If you think not finding humor in a shooting, especially a school shooting (be it attempted, successful, or hypothetical), is pussy then sign me up. You obviously have a fucked up reality. I find nothing humorous in a tragedy like that. I was in 8th grade during the Columbine shooting less than a mile away from the school while it happened. I had some close friends who were there and suffered immensely both physically and mentally, many of them are not the same today because of it. I coach high school swimming and one of the schools we compete with is the school where the most recent Colorado high school shooting happened last month. But even if I hadnot been personnaly touched by both of these tragedies, there is still no humor in joking about it. that is why the pussy attitude.
The point of humour is to take our subconscious fears and turn them around into a way for us to find a release. It's like death. We can't control death, and we are all afraid (more or less) of it, however, when we make a joke about death or the innane tragedies of our world we transform it, we own it in a way. It's a way of saying "I can't control this, but i can control how i react to it". Without humour we would go crazy.
Well I'm sixteen, actually. I've never had a school shooting personally affect me, and I suppose I'm just insensitive enough to find a cartoonish humour in what was written, a statement made not to be offensive, but to cater to humour like mine. I find humour in a lot of things. It just seems as though they aren't all the same as yours. Nor are they neccessarily all politically correct. Just the way it is. I respect you and find it unfortunate that you were personally affected by a school shooting. In fact, it's unfortunate that anybody has to be personally affected by any school shooting.
i think if anyone should try to find humor in it, its you. you need to make jokes occasionally to distance yourself from reality. and besides, if that headline did make a newspaper or a website, everyone knows that it would be on this forum the same day.
