***************I am referring to 8-29 year olds*************** Guys have turned into such pssy's. When I was a kid our mantra was bro's before ho's. While I admit the childishness of the statement and in no way think of women as ho's, that is not my point. Apparently, the younger generation has no pride. They don't stick together, they wear pink shirts, listen to EMO, say yes dear to their G-friends, the list goes on and on. Whatever happened to men being men? If you are young and don't know what the hell I'm talking about, watch out for the Milwaukee's Best ads on T.V. So what do yall think? Agree / disagree? What consequences will men pay for this in the future?
okay i'm not sure that you were asking for women's opinions... but you gonna get one i agree, a lot of boys/men are wusses nowadays, and i think it's due to an uprise in feminism to be honest. i think males just like to keep the peace, get on with life without too much bother, and if their women are on a "power to the women" thing, they just go with it because it's too much effort to argue. i personally hate it. when i'm being stupid, i want my guy to tell me i also want him to have a strong presence in social situations... someone i can be proud of. when it comes to just us on our own, i believe that we should be equal, and on the same wavelength. it's funny because whereas the person i just described probably used to be quite common, nowadays you really have to look for that kinda guy! i'd love to have lived in the times when everything was the right way up and people cried over real issues...
Fuck men being "men", honestly. I am truly happy to see both men and women breaking the long imposed stereotype barrier of gender roles. Let people be whatever they want to be.
men are gradually going downhill ,but when oil starts to run out and we have to go back to hard labour and whomping things with big hammers and sailships things may improve. yep and pink shirts are mighty ropey my advice to young men take up blacksmithing and dont worry to much what women want as really most of them dont know what they want either . please yourself and dont try to please other people because that way at least one person will be happy
i totaly agree personaly i have no respect at all for guyswith the bros before hos attitude in generalthe whole guys should be guys bullshit is why so many guys are total assholes..and why so many women are lesbians get real... the whole i'm the man i'm in charge bullshit is why so many relationships fail or end up in somestic violence or emotional torture people are people regardless of whats betweeen theyre legs
see ive never felt hurt by this long imposed stereotype barrier of gender roles. thinking about it I can see for people who feel unhappy with their gender roles, they could be oppressive, I personally dont like pink shirts I dont much like them on women either well i suppose that would depend on on the shade of pink and colouring of the individual .
I don't think men are wussy because of Feminism. That's what the church and all the republican pro family people want you to think. I think it's just society adjusting things, realizing that men don't have to be hunter-gatherer cavemen who drag their women by their hair anymore. I do think having a more "enlightened" man is somewhat of a good thing, but a wimpy, manicured pretty boy is not atttractive.
very good point and then you see these guys today rebeling against change & acting more like cave men then the cave men did and u get women who dont feel right unless theyre dragged around bythe hair but these days these attitudes are totaly disfunctional & innapropriate and i can tell you any woman whos been dragged around by her hair for years..no matter how muchshe claims thats what she wants..as soon as a guy comes along, offering his hand & helps her up out of the dirt shes been dragged through all her life shed never allow herself to be dragged around again so sorry all ya cave men..your fighting a losing battle
i really don't think men are any less masculine then we ever have been. times change, and we as humans adapt to what we are presented with. Maybe this "pussy" generation is actually just comfortable with our sexuality, and we feel like we can express ourselves in whichever way we want.
Its because nobody does any physical labour. Work in the bush or construction and you'll see that dick all has changed.
The main problem with this discussion is the definition of "wussies" are we talking about men being feminine or are we talking about them being scared or are we talking about them being weak or all three?
-lack of positive male role models -not letting "boys be boys" - can't play fight, can't climb trees, can't run around... -using games to entertain your kids -soccer moms
i like this thread, not saying i agree one way or the other, but it could be a positive and interesting discussion.
yea i do too, its definately a topic worthy of discussion & has sparked alotta inteligent & lively debate
