o.k had this prob for a good few weeks now and whne it just seems to go away it comes back. these are all pics from the last few weeks the last of those pics was taken about a week ago, due to the hooking down of the upper leaves i thought it was sulphur def and i fed the plants with epsom salts @ 1 tsp per 2 litre and also with a complete veg fertiliser over the course of a week because i thought it might be a nitrogen def(for 3 feeds in a 2 litre mix for 2 plants) combined because i had flushed the plants a week earlier as i thought it might be a maganese toxicity and the upper leaves on 1 plant is still hooking down, im a bit stuck here im in almost 1 week of flower now and the yellowing/rusty browning/crisp tips in the lower leaves is kicking back in and upper leaves on 1 is still hooking down, its northern lights im growing under floros for veg and currently under 250w h.p.s compensated with a twin 58w floro for flower, il get more pics if needed but any helps much appreciated cheers!
You're plants are showing magnesium deficiency. You pushed too much potassium early on.... most folks do the same...
cheers mate, the plants would have fitted the profile of a lot of probs from what ive been reading so ive been pretty confused but what you say makes a good bit of sense cos i did over feed a bit in veg with bio grow which has almost as much k in it as n, its 8.0-2.0-6.0 im gonna flush em with a complete dilute fertilizer tomorrow when the chlorine has evaporated from my water.
yes looks like you have a magnesium defeciency......you can water with epsom salt (2tsp epsom salt per gallon of water). You can also also do a foliar feeding (spray the leaves) with about a 2% solution of epsom salt for a bit quicker results. If the deficiency moves toward the top of the plant, the top will turn green first. In about 4-6 days it will start turning the lower leaves green. Keep watering with epsom salt solution until the symptoms totally dissapear. If your soil already contains a good bit of magnesium then use the solution every other watering until the symptoms dissapear. Keep the temps and humidity under control, try to keep the pH at about 6.5. Toxic buildup of magnesium, in good soil, is uncommon. - 42o -
cheers for the advice m4 a few weeks agon i used epsom salts in foliar feeding then in the water i fed plants at 1 tsp per 2 litre and it did stop the spread for a time but it came back with avengance so for the last week ive fed the same 1 tsp per 2 litre with bio grow and bio bloom with top max, maybe its slowed again the plants have considerably streatched compaired to before but im gonna flush em tomorrow, hopefully this sorts em right out cos the worst affected plant was very bushy and the lower part of the plants veg growth is totaly gone now its actually bare. wishy me luck and cheers
just a post of thanks slow nickel yer advice payed off a treat and the plants are doing good now showing buds n stuff
