Yeah, I was gonna say something similar. There are obviously connotations with the word that are very taboo, but the word is just a word.

I'd say ****** = white trash, black trash, mexican trash etc. etc.

Still though, it's not nice to call people names. I go to school in downtown cleveland and the people the broke my g/f's car window and stole everything were probably black, but definitely niggers. Still, you just gotta go on with life and let it slide. Money sucks anyway.

Alright, so I'm jumping off the boat into the water here by assuming the slur was used as a racial slur; I'm not often terribly offended by racial slurs. 'Fuck those niggers' may/may not have been more appropriate. Then it could at least be directed at one isolated group of people none of us know. But using the n-word as an all-encompassing sort of thing can get personal, strangely enough, being as we all probably know/are tight with at least a few coloured folk.

Just refer to them in the same way you would refer to a person of the same race as you; just omit black/white/mexican/colored/n-word, as none of that is of any importance. Instead of saying "some black dude offered me a piece of gum", just say "some dude offered me a piece of gum". The fact that they were black is irrelevant to the situation. We are all regular people and should not be defined by our skin-color/race.

People of all races, religions and creeds steal. I've been robbed by all of them.

TNS--the guys that stole the OP's $$$ most likely thought that since they were black and broke and he was white and had money he deserved it.
Don't try to justify stealing because you arbitrarily deemed that "he deserved it." A thief is a thief.

That's certainly NOT the case. We had never spoken prior to making the bet with each other, as I had only just arrived at Job Corps. The bet was for $10 against the fuckin bitch ass New England Patriots. They lost and the guy said he wasn't going to pay me because he simply didn't have to. He had no reason to think I deserved to be ripped off, so I stole his fucking vicodin.

It's not my fault I don't like racism. My dad was a racist, and that is a big reason why I don't visit him and haven't seen him in five years, even though he lives less than a mile from my house. My niece and nephew are both mixed, racially, and my dad doesn't even acknowledge their existance.......his own fuckin grandkids and he wants nothing to do with them. My dad has always been like that and it has made me realize how ignorant racism is. I can't stand that shit. Maybe jake isn't a racist and just said that shit out of anger, but I still don't like the n-word and I would appreciate it if people wouldn't use it, and I think jake understands that he offended a few people and he feels sorry for it. Yeah, I can relate to where you're coming from. I was raised in a native family where a lot of our elders are incredibly rascist, particularly towards caucasians. Being one of the few "half-breeds" in the chain, I've dealt with a lot of intolerance and anger on the behalf of my own family. Can I help it I look like a white girl? No, and no one should have to face ridicule by those they love.

No offense meant, my friend, but maybe it's best for your niece and nephew to not have to deal with it.
