Israeli trance has gone stale for several years now, Infected Mushroom are a joke with their new style of pop trance and Astral Projection have stagnated also.
Some good artists still coming from Israel are Prosect, Lish, Perfect Stranger, Triac, Hujaboy, Yotopia, Aerospace, Ace Ventura. The psychedelic progressive genre is only really the decent stuff coming from Israel these days althought there are exceptions to every rule. Don't get me wrong I do also like the psy fullon style but imo the israeli scene has no new ideas to offer, just music for ecstacy and cocaine nothing psychedelic. There are many good artists but many more shit ones...

PS) If you haven't heard it Cosma (RIP :() - Nonstop is one of the best Israeli trance albums ever produced!

Well I like them, I can even listen to Infected Mushroom, but I can't deny the fact, that they're turned into some kind of poptrancewhatever stuff. I maybe like the darker stuffs nowdays, since nobody makes Goa trance anymore (or I don't know about), unfortunetly. About the progressive, there are good stuffs, but I don't like everything there. Also what I hate is, some people already started that elitist shit in the goa scene, like "this music is much more of high standard, forward thinking, groundbreaking, than yours". It's the same thing what happened whan trance djs, became proghouse djs. God, this music convert people into snobs, or what?
But back to fullon/isratrance/whatever, check this one: http://www.procyonrecords.com/index.php
It's a half Hungarian half Indian label, which releases some kind of a full on psy, and I personally really like it. [IMG]
By the way, someone could explain what exactly full on is? There are these words "full on", "(israeli) morning trance", "melodic psytrance", "isratrance", are they supposed to be mean the same? If not what's the difference? I've got a clue, but I'm not sure, so better ask it.

Rev - I checked this out and I fully endorse your comment. This is fullon and yet sophisticated trance of the 1st order. Any more reccomendations?

As I've said elsewhere prog/tribal is more my thing, so in gratitude for the cosma thing, if you haven't heard people like Siberian Son and The Silent Brothers, along with some of the other stuff coming out of Russia nowadays, it's well worth a listen..IMO..:sunglasse

I don't know much tribal stuff but like what I've heard. Will check out those you mentioned. Been listening to not so much trance at the minute, more prog/tech/minimal housey stuff (well, and some twisted night time psy) but any recommendations are good.

More relatively new intelligent fullon with my seal of approval:

    Tron - Existence (Liquid Records)

    http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/lir/lir1cd003.html

Voice of Cod - We Are Free (Organic Recs)
    http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/org/org1cd011.html

    Koxbox - U-Turn (Twisted Recs)
(Phenomenal, contender for album of the year. Their comeback after 5/6 years)
    http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/twi/twi1cd029.html

VA - God Save The Machine (TIP. World)

    http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/tip/tip1cd047.html

None of that cheesy bathroom nonsense. Psychedelic all the way!!!

Cheers. I have heard the new Koxbox and its very good. Hopefully I'll be seeing them soon at Twisted's birthday party in a couple of weeks.
Less fullon trancy/ambient stuff is also something I like.

Two recent aquisitions which I think are pretty good:
    Season 5 - Aes Dana
    Blunt Instrument - Deviant Electronics.

Ya I was thinking of the twisted party, lineup looks really good, in fact the best I've seen ever for a 1-night party probably but is quite expensive and I hate going out in London. I might mission it down to Brizzle the day after though to see mates and koxbox are playing at tribe of frog that night.

I already have the Aes Dana one and the Deviant Electronics album is wicked but I don't have a copy... Cheers!

12 quid if memory serves. I wouldn't be going if it weren't for the fact I can get a lift there and back. So for me it's hopefully going to be hassle free(ish).

Infected Mushroom put on amazing light shows, I went to a couple of them in Israel before they got too famous, and it was amazing.
