iowa isn't even listed above! (i'm not complaining, i would've probably done the same thing.) anyone here from iowa? i'm on the far east, in the quad cities.
I am currently residing in Iowa. Out in the middle of nowhere, on the oppisite side of the state from you.
I live in Des Moines, Iowa. It would be nice if we had our own board but I have no idea how many people here are from Iowa. Nice to meet everyone !
i am mad that they didnt put iowa on the list were are a part of the usa too...are we not important enough that is so not fair...
Yeah, people think that Kansas is one big wheatfield...go figure, it pretty much is anyway. Alas...I beg of you Iowans....please! Find out about Ron Paul and his bid for the Presidency in 2008. He is the only honorable candidate in the election with a small exception being Democratic candidate Dennis Kucinich. Take a look at www.ronpaul2008.com or look him up on youtube or google video. He is a standout in a field full of phonies, crooks, and liars...usurpers of the Constitution and basic human rights. As a Ron Paul supporter in Kansas I have been visiting and calling Iowa residents and appealing to their common sense to show up to the Iowa Republican straw polls and support this wonderful candidate and his message of freedom, individual liberty, and small government. You must register as a Republican...I know, I know, sounds disgusting right? It has been deemed the Ron Paul Revolution and it will take a revolt of the Republican party from outside as well as within to achieve these aims. There is no room for a third party candidate unfortunately so throw your support behind Ron Paul, after all he supports our right to keep the internet free of big corporate regulation and control. The mainstream media is starting to have trouble covering up the groundswell of grassroots support for the good Dr. Paul, lets shake these pukes out of their ivory towers and back to the ground with the rest of us. Support the Ron Paul Revolution! Join your local Ron Paul meetup.com group and help out anyway you can. The Iowa straw polls always send a strong message to the media and the rest of the nation as to who is a serious contender in the following year's elections. Lets show them that the people still have a voice and that voice goes by the name of Rep. Dr. Ron Paul (R-Texas).
Shameless Plug Above???:spam: Ol' Ron getting hip to the whole internet thing? I'm from Nebraska (aka the other big cornfield), in the captol city. I'm about 45 min from our mutual border. I have been known to come round Iowa for a show from time to time.
I'm not from Iowa anymore. Move to Omaha a couple of months ago. Not caring much for city life though.
Ya I will have to agree with everyone else. I don't understand why Iowa isn't on the list above and I think that it should be added so that we have a place to post things up about Iowa and things happening in our area (not that things are hopping or anything) I am from Waterloo born and raised. I love the MidWest the people are just so much friendlier then other parts of the U.S. I enjoy our winters as much if not more than our summers. I love to snowmobile with my family during the winter whenever we get enough snow. What kind of things does everyone else like to do???
I'm impressed. There are actually some other Iowans, on the forum. I didn't think there was, considering Iowa isn't listed. I was born in Iowa City, raised in Red Oak (SW Iowa), went to High School in Omaha, then moved to Des Moines, after a year at Iowa State. I lived in Des Moines from `92, until about 2 months ago. Now I live in Maxwell, but I'm still in Des Moines, about every day, for work, my kids, etc.
Didnt see much else going on in the thread so I plugged a candidate for a cause. People give spambots far too much credit. I am a real person with a real passion for justice and truth.
How's everyone enjoying all this snow??? Its some pretty snow. My 4 year old was so amazed by it she said "mom it looks like glitter".........oh to be a kid again. I got a new snowmobile this winter and it looks like its paying off well. I know that everyone don't like the snow, however I have always enjoyed winter if its gonna be cold we might as well have snow,. Plus I really like to have 4 defined seasons to keep life interesting.
Saying as how I work outside, all day, almost everyday, I'm not to thrilled with the snow. My children don't mind it though, they get to go inside when they get cold. I won't complain about it though, I make fairly good money for being out there, and the snow is quite nice looking on the branches of the trees. I just wish the wind sisn't have to blow all the time. LOL, I need a heated bubble to work in.
Ya I hear ya..............for my job I drive around 200 miles a day and my job is wonderful until it snows and then I am ready to relocate...............lol
