the difference between the who's original version and limp bizkit's poor excuse for a cover is that the lyrics actually meant something to Rodger Daultrey ( excuse me if ive spelt the name wrong, folks!), whereas limp bizkit obviously chose the song to give that idiot fred durst a softer side, as opposed to being an egotistical moron!! The lyrics mean nothing to fred durst and therefore he is just singing the song. Rodger Daultrey really felt it and meant it!

    peace and love

Well, actually, the lyrics probably meant nothing to Roger Daltrey either, seeing as Pete Townshend wrote it.

But yes, Limp Bizkit sucks ass. When I heard them doing "Behind Blue Eyes," I wanted to vomit. The Who is my favorite band, and I really don't want to hear a shitty band butcher one of their songs.

The difference between Fred Durst and Roger Daltrey...

Fred - whiney 12 year old in an adult's body.

    ROGER IS A REAL MAN!

I saw the video of it, if I remember correctly, he changed the words. Instead of going into the next verse, "When my fist clenches crack it open, etc...", He started singing something about, "nobody says sorry". They are the Who they don't need to fucking say sorry!! AHHHH !!!!!!!!

damn, terribly sorry for that little outburst... hehe, I guess I take it too seriously, okay I promise I'll lighten up. :p But I agree it is a terrible cover. Just the video, man, Hally Berry was mouthing the words, it just irked me. bah, fucking limp bizket. I wanted so bad for Townshend to come and give Fred a guitar beating, but alas, it didnt happen.

oh well... uh, no offence to Limp Bizket fans, I just really dislike them. :)

Haha, yes, that'd have been great if Pete had come in there and smashed his guitar upside Fred's head... or Roger could swing his mic into Fred's dick (ouch  ), or Keith could come back from the dead to manically beat Fred with his drumsticks! :D

I was and still am very pissed that Fred Durst would butcher that song. That song is one of my favorites, and it does mean something to me. The lyrics are me. Fred Durst is a fuckin pussy who can't come up with his own shit anymore so he takes eveyone else's and makes it sound like shit.

Like Birtney Spears covering the Rolling Stones "satisfaction"? That was possibley even more shit than this Limp Bizket cover. It didn't even have guitars! How can you have that song without guitars! The first 20 seconds of that song and I would've done any member of the Rolling Stones. After a few minute's of Britney's version, somebody was in for an ass-kicking! :$

not all remakes are bad... most not all. The ones mentioned above are very bad.
