I AM BAFFLED HERE. when i was at the ratdog show a while 'go, they played crazy fingers...and EVERYONE left to take a piss/ whatever. I honestly dont understand why most people dont appreciate this gem. Also, on alotta the soundboards I lis'n ta on archive.org...crzy fngrs doesnt get such great reception by the fans- like if they start up mornin' dew people be cheerin'...when they start up franklin people be hootin an' hollrin', but when they play crzy fngrs...theres just nothing. Is it that ppl. arent familiar with the song (i seriously doubt it- cause blues for allah is certainly one of my favorites...just an amazing cd all around) or so ppl. generally just go ta shows lookin ta dance...and they dont want this typa sad/mellow song (which is like 30% or more of the deads songs anyways-sad/mellow that is)...I just dont get it...they certainly send their message tho cause bob and the boys deff. noticed that literally half the audience hapn'd ta be pissin' durin crazy fingers. I still LOVE the song tho, and hope they keep playin it live, despite the cold ass reception from what i guess are ppl. that wanna dance and shit. If you wanna groove to crazy fingers, jus close your damn eyes and movve with the music. Thats all.
hmmm... I dont see why people would leave during crazy fingers. I love that song and ratdog does a pretty good job of it. I saw Ratdog over ther summer at radio city and they played crazy fingers, but I didnt notice anyone leaving. People seemed to enjoy it. Its weird that people left, thats pretty lame.
I don't think there is anything wrong with just loving to dance at shows. But yea, I get what your saying. A lot of the mellower songs don't get the same reception from the crowd.
when everyone goes to teh loo, that's more dancing room! MonCul, I love your name. I love Tom Robbins' writing
i love Crazy Fingers!! i saw them play that at the Greek in LA....it was unbelievable. one of the more inspiring, memorable songs of the night. truly magical.
