Barefooting and foot fetishists

Hi all, I was wondering how many people here think there is some type of relating between wanting to be a 'barefooter' and having a 'foot fetish'? I'm a bit of both myself.

For a while now I've enjoyed looking at and *playing* with female feet, and have come to accept that's who I am (some guys like boobs, some guys like legs, some guys like bums – I just happen to like feet). One of my friends is indirectly happy that I have this 'thing' for feet as she gets lots of foot rubs (she says I'm quite good too ).

I'm also starting to realise that I want to go barefooting myself as well, to live my life in such a way as to not need to wear shoes. I'm very shy of my feet and won't even go barefooted around the house if anyone is home (I wear socks all the time), but as soon as everyone has gone to bed – or if they are going to be out all day – off come the socks. I also often venture into the garden for some of the sensations that it offers.

Anyway, do you think there is any relation (other than the blatantly obvious one that both involve feet)?

I too have a foot fetish, I'm not ashamed of having one, it's who I am and nothing ever is going to change that. Also, I've suffered from foot shyness as well, so I know exactly where you are coming from. When living at home I was constantly shod but when I was by myself, off came the shoes and socks. Luckily I once dated a girl who was a barefooter that helped rid my fear of others seeing me barefoot. I always thought it was pretty cool when going over to her house, she would answer the door in her barefeet, even though her parents were home. Some guys and girls think nothing of it I guess.

 

Well some have neither, some have one, and some have both. I don't know if the two are related at all.

I have both. I think my foot-fetish actually developed BECAUSE of my need to go barefoot. When I was young and just did as I was told by my parents, etc I would just have to wear shoes, so whenever I saw anyone out barefoot, or read about anyone going barefoot I would get very excited by the sight, and also very envious. This continued, and my envy grew to be not just envy, but admiration as well for someone willing to defy the rules and go barefoot, and as I hit puberty and started getting very interested in girls, this admiration turned to attraction. At the same time, now I'm older, more independent and more self-assured I'm not afraid to go barefoot in public, and I'm getting more and more comfortable with the idea of revealing my barefooting habit to my friends, when I have no idea what they might think or say, until I do it. My attraction to girls feet on the other hand has also escalated and a girl no longer has to be barefoot outdoors to excite me. She just has to be barefoot. Although she does have to be barefoot - shoes that put the feet on display, such as flipflops or any other kinds of sandals don't have any effect on me. The most dress for a girl that's most attractive to me, more so than anything is jeans and bare feet. And I often dress that way myself as well as I feel good like that.

Most other foot fetishists will probably relate to the fact that I have known that something was up between me and feet for as long as I have been self-aware. When I was a little kid in preschool, I was very self-conscious of my own feet and felt very uncomfortable letting anyone else see them. I had no idea why, but I knew I was different in that regard. I also was very very fond of seeing other people's feet (well, girls' feet, anyway).

As I got older, I developed a strong psychosexual link to feet. That's not to say that I don't or can't function sexually without feet involved, because I surely can and do, but for me, a romantic relationship is strongly enhanced when the girl has pretty feet and I get to play with them. Some girls even have liked to play with my feet, and that kind of mutual adoration is astoundingly erotic!

As far as it relates to barefooting, I was not much of a barefooter at all, until about 1998 when I became aware that there were people on the internet who were barefoot advocates. It had simply never occurred to me to seek pleasure from going barefoot myself! At first it was the Dirty Sole Society, but I found myself at odds with its founder; and then the Society for Barefoot Living sprang up, with much more congenial 'management,' and I joined that. I began barefooting in earnest, and very quickly went from finding it to be an erotic adventure (in the beginning I got a psychosexual charge out of being without shoes in public places where I normally had never gone barefoot before), to finding myself simply a whole lot more comfortable barefoot than I had ever been shod. It helped that at the time, I had just moved from New York to Florida. Being barefoot helps me stay cool in the heat.

I think that, in answer to your question, many foot fetishists might like the idea of being a 'barefooter' because it is easy for such a person to enjoy bare feet in all aspects; simply, "the more the better." What foot fetishist doesn't enjoy seeing other people out barefoot, and get a special thrill to find them in very public places? So, joining those people in the pleasure of going barefoot makes us even more kindred, more linked.

Hi all, thank you for the messages. It's good to know that I'm not alone (I knew that I'd not be, but hearing other people admit it just makes me feel better ).

My friend Caroline (the one I live the foot rubs too - she's an ex-girlfriend, but we're very good friends since we split up) is a bit of a barefooter, and will go barefooted as much as she can - just not outside so much - not at the moment anyway, but maybe if I loose my shiness, she'll take it as an oppertinuty to do it herself.

You know, I'm the same. if it's feet decoration (such as toe rings, ankleets, etc..) then it enhances the effect for me (after all, this person is decorating their feet, therefore they must apprechate them enough to want to), but flip-flops, sandals, etc... - do nothing for me.

Again, same here - it's not like I need feet to function, they just happen to enhance my pleasure

So far I've only had one women do this for me (juliette), but man it felt SO good. My friend caroline occationally gives me professional footrubs (she's a alternative theripist (sp)), which also feels very good - but not in a sexual way (if you know what I mean?)

Yeah I too have a strong foot fetish..one reason why I LUV the summer time! I go barefoot alot and have since I can remember.The same goes with my luv 4 feet. What's strange is that, although I go barefoot, and I think women who do are very sexy, I don't personally have a foot fetish. Funny that. Guess I just dig gals who appreciate the feel of the Earth as much as I do.

 

OMG that is TOTALLY an "in" for saying something like, "Do I now? Well, I think now I want to see if YOU have feet as sexy as mine!" and ask her to take off her shoes so you can evaluate the sexiness of her feet! I think that if you did this in a half-humorous, half-sexy way, you might just break the ice perfectly and end up having fun with each other's feet!

It all started few years ago, I dunno how but it just happened...
I think it all happened suddenelly... actually, I tell you, "if" it was just for a single moment (if you understand me?). You know, It was spontanous and sudden.
I think it was sth like this:

Brand new member to the forums here and I must say that I have been into going barefoot (and have a strong foot fetish as well) for about 20 years that I've known about. I'm stoked to find others who have that "cross-pollination" of foot interests. I totally get off on having people check out my feet (I am very turned on by my own feet as well). Most other feet I'm into are women's but if I see a guy with nice enought feet I'll check them out too. Anyhow...thanks for posting this thread so I have some people to relate to. To be honest, I had never been much of a foot person. I do love running around my house barefoot though. I just have wussy little feet (soft soles from wearing shoes all the time), so I don't go barefoot outside--yet. I am also shy about my feet--I think they're funny looking. I have actually recently met a barefooter that has gotten me thinking about the whole idea though. I find him to be sexier than hell in nothing but jeans. Or sole-less sandals. It just seems so liberating. I think I may have to try this.
