i found a canadian company online claiming to offer worldwide shipment of small clones of marijuana plants. i know seeds are available through the mail of course, but how likely is it that a clone would get through customs?

as someone who grew for a LONG time - i would say, highly unlikely. I wouldn't even have seeds shipped to my house, nevermind clones.

yeah, i figured as much. i'm not considering ordering, but wanted to know if it was even plausible, let alone legitimate.

i want to start growing in the next couple of months...nothing great, just something with a few cheap fluoros and some seeds from particularly well liked pot i've bought in the past to sort of familiarize myself with the growing process. i'm about to move out on my own finally, and i'll be pretty damn poor and will barely have enough money to pay rent and buy a little pot and food, let alone spend hundreds of dollars on HPS lights.

but i figure even if its not the best weed and it isn't the best yield, if i can get a few solid smokes out of $50 or so of money to invest initially, then i've not only procured marijuana at the end of it, i've also learned a lot and can put it to use and perhaps achieve greater and quicker success when i can afford a better setup.

i'd like to try and do things organic from the beginning, as well, if possible.

although in reality perhaps instead of messing around with something smelly like pot i should devote all of my efforts to growing a lot of mushrooms. i already know how to grow those, and they're easy, cheap, and low key to grow...faster than weed and more lucrative...i could easily pay for my pot habits with mushrooms and it would cost me next to nothing. plus get a couple free trips here and there...and maybe save up for ebay growlights...

but seeing my friends' budding marijuana plants just makes me ache to have something like that of my own. the point is to someday remove myself almost entirely from interaction with drug dealers. but perhaps realistically it would be more practical to grow mushrooms for now.

    Hey!
There is a company in Holland that ships clones to the US and to Canada and Holland with special arrangements. So far I have only seen positive feedback from satisfied customers.

Here's a quote from a person working at the company concerning orders.

"About payments, money orders, E-gold, etc.

It takes us a long time to clear money orders, so it takes 3-4 weeks to receive your clones if you pay that way.

However, you can use a money order to fund your E-gold account and get your clones in under 10 days:

    1- get a free/anonymous E-gold account at www.e-gold.com - you need a valid email address

2- go to www.x-changers.com/ccandmo.html , fill in the form, print it out, and send it in, along with your money order, to the address displayed. Expressing it makes things faster.

3- your E-gold account will be funded within a day or two of the x-changers receiving your money order. Then you login to your E-gold account and make a transfer to our account.

4- Your order ships within 72 hours, weekends excluded.

So, if you are willing to take a couple of extra steps, you can have your clones must faster.

About packaging - our packaging is not too different from the packaging suggested in the FAQ here at OG. The case slighlty squeezes the rockwool and holds the clones in place. The case is secured so it doesn't pop open in transit.

    Andre/Newlines"

"If you already have a funded E-gold account, we ship your order within 72 hours of receiving your payment, not including weekends."

thats pretty interesting, but i've got to imagine that the health of the clones you receive is suspect. i mean, they have to be shipped overseas, right? they need some kind of sturdy container to make sure they don't get hurt from being overturned or crushed or something, and they will be in total darkness without water for several days at least. then theres the smell of a living marijuana plant to be considered...i'm sure it would be easier for clones to be intercepted by customs than seeds, unless they have some kind of airtight smell-proof container they ship it in....

I don't know, too fragile. Plants are so fragile there first few weeks, especially clones even up to 3 weeks after developing roots. Say there was a secure and legitimate way for clones to be shipped - I would still be worried about what the pressure and temperature of the airplane could do to them.

Nesta - you're from Ohio right? There are many good farmers down in Meigs county - your best bet is to keep it local.

I completely understand where you two are coming from. As for myself, I was skeptical about shipping clones from Holland to the US. I mean that's the last place I thought they'd send clones. I have compiled a few links to customers threads, including pictures of the clones and the conditions they were received in. This is what one of the person working at the company has to say about receiving the delivery, "You should have your clones delivered to a safe address, and you should take reasonable precautions as your situaiton might dictate."
Since they are live plants they are shipping there have been cases where stems have broken. "So far we have had a 100% delivery rate of shipments, and only a handful of individual clone resends - usually because a stem snapped in transit."

"Plant Condition and Service: MUCH better than anticipated. I am -extremely- pleased with newlines' service.
The clones all arrived in -excellent- condition, and as you can see, wilting is minimum. The plants are very perky for having come from overseas. The root systems are in excellent condition. One of the NLxK clones has a tiny bit of brown top, but i'll end up topping it anyhow [IMG]. "

"I received my clones on Friday from Newlines and one of the Kinda Blue had a bent stem from shipping. It could not even hold itself up. I put a splint on it and had a feeling it would survive. Today I removed the splint and as hoped the stem had formed a nice hard nod at the bend and was able to hold itself up. New growth is showing and it is swaying in the breeze of the fans.
To me that is a sign of a good healthy clone. Thanks Andre, Newlines!"

"The clones arrived today around noon. They were discreetly packaged. There was no odor or any other identifiable characteristics. The clones looked healthy and have an adequate root system - though they were nothing to write home about. I shot a few pics and threw them back into the package. I dropped them in the mail, BC bound. Good luck! Lets hope they make it. If they do, you owe me a fat nugget of the rescue me."

There are many more threads and pictures about the Newlines clones, but I assume this should be sufficient proof that the clones make the delivery alive. Even one of the stems in the above links was snapped and the person was able to rescue her.
