Its the first time I've seen this clip. But I was there. The clip brought a tear to my eye because it was kinda scary at first, with all the guns and all. Noone knew how it was gonna go down. Im just glad no one got hurt, too bad LEOs didnt stay for a meal at shut up and eat it. Haha- Love you Kids!
well sis, please tell us the full story from your eyes, since i got there much later then i'd hooped & i'm sure others would love for ppl to share theyre experiences with this incident
Well, When we heard on the radio about what was happening, we decided to go serve as eyes and ears, and I got there right about the time there were flying remarks, someone got shoved, and the energy was getting tense. A friend of mine had a gun pointed at him, and thats when I became frightened... this was definatly something potentially dangerous. There was a sister there telling us all to be calm, dont get angry, and keep a possitive energy, then the oming started, and things werent as scary after that. The LEOs kinda seemed afraid... Im sure, our collective possitive energy made them feel like what they were doing was wrong, but hey, I dont think its their fault, theyre just doing their jobs, right?
its a beautiful example of love overpowering superior firepower if only the world could pickup on the examples set byfamily the whole world would be a happier place
And to be honest, I think people already do. I know alot of the younger generations are becoming curious, and they see kids like us, traveling, feeding people, and just loving, man... I think there is hope, honestly. And all we have to do is keep up the good work, the good energy, and the love.
yea you absolutely got that right..without family i wouldnt have much hope left for humanity though.. but the seeds been planted and the lights shinning.. & especialy the youth can see it going back to texas could be quite enlightening
By the way - You are wearing the coolest shirt ever sister..... You were there? I would have been very frightened also. I wasn't there and the clip brought a tear to my eye. I am thankful for people like you...spreading the love. Keepit up and feed your fires. Alicia
I'm new here, but I have to say I was totally surprised (horrified?) by some of the Rainbow People in this video. What is up with the hostility, aggression, name calling, swearing, and THREATS?!?!!? ("...you better get the f--k out of here while you can...[repeated] ...you c--k suckers... [etc.]") I have no idea what preceded this, I don't even know the context, so I can't and won't judge. From this video - having not been there - the idea that you "loved" the LEO away seems rediculous. More likely you simply intimidated them with your conviction, and then acted in ways that were not within the realm of responses they are trained to handle (spreading out and "circling") -- so the LEO had the choice to resort to violence or leave, and being out numbered, they left. Just my observation.
Can understand your observation on just the basis of the video; but please try to understand that the Rainbow is made up of many kinds of people & some of those people have been harmed by various LEOs without reason before...circling & engaging the Om should feasibly mellow all aggresive parties, Rainbow & LEOs...the LEOs have been in the middle of similar circles in previous years & if they aren't trained to handle this type of situation, then someone in their upper command is slacking on the job. Never seen Family do an circle on LEOs unless there's been unreasonable action by LEOs to begin with...as is the case here from what we've heard from many folks...
that was incredible, a bit of hostility it sounded like from the cameraman but aside from that a beautiful display of peace prevailing. Right on, Family, you make me proud.
I can understand the hostile attitude the cameraman had. Though I dont necessarily condone attacking the LEOs personally like he did, it will come to pass sooner or later that many in law enforcement marched our country blindly lockstep into the police state it comprises now. This man's hostility may be well founded based on whatever happened that day, especially where he singled out that one LEO a number of times. But as we all know, only love can conquer hate, and we aren't going to be able to change misled perhaps hateful people with more hate. One of our greatest tasks for significant social change will be convincing law enforcement of their past errs and who the REAL criminals are (those whom they ultimately take orders from). All of you rainbows serve as an example (especially this video and the events that transpired there) of fortitude and love conquering hate and ignorance. It is great to see cops so dumbfounded...thanks for posting the video.
some of the hostility can be explained by where the incident went down, & that was near the trailhead, the only place alcahol is allowed, tensions can run high there even on the most blissful days also some folks have worked with the leo's over many years, so when they act against prior agreements (blockades were not allowed by court order) tendions can get even higher..but if you noticed as soon as tensions started, even more reacted with love..yelling we love you not only to the leo's but to any family who were reacting with anger or hatred
It seems that the days of getting to a gathering without going through a roadblock were about over anyway. In future years, I expect there will be 200 cops instead of 20. We are headed towards the inevitable anyway, all we did was speed things up a bit. That being said, I still say good job. It was a pleasure to watch a crowd disperse the cops for once
a crownd in the face of automatic weapons dispersed them peacefuly...loudly maybe..only heard maybe 2 ppl being confrontational...not 1 scuffle or shove...the ohm seemed to just scare em...
Yea, it did, they all freaked out. It was very scary to be around those guns, guns always make me nervous anyway. And a few of us thought we were going to jail because of warrants. I think in the end though, I was truly in awe. We did it, all of us, together, we stuck together, and we just loved... presto manifesto.
Thanks for the replies, I that gives me a better understanding. In the past few years, I have run into a fair number of "survivalists", who oddly have the same or very similar point of view about LEO/Police States as you seem to. The difference is in your response: they believe in an armed revolution, and think that the only way to beat an armed foe is to be armed yourself. Y'all have another way. I applaud you, because you won without bloodshed, and their way leads to Waco.
