wELL THE ROCK cofirmed acouple of days ago that papa roach will be @ BDO, and i herd from sum1 that IRON MAIDEN was spose 2 be playing. man if they r i am soooo there!

 

when is it held every year? Iron maiden is pretty freaking cool

 

where abouts in NZ are u 8foot? we got them playing at my bar next wednesday night

 

im in hamilton, we had them playing @ the altitude bar, i think, in a couple of weeks, thay went off @ BDO this yr. Apparently the mosh pitt was way heavier than the Metallica 1, lol my Ex got his fone and wallet stolen in it haha! This yr BDO was on the 16 of jan, i think they pretty much try and have it around the same time every yr.

Big Day Out is a one day festival that runs in NZ and Aussie. there's only one concert in New Zealand in Auckland and its on or about the 16th of January. Then everyone goes over to Aussie and there's about 9 concerts there I think.

 

yeah i was at the BDO this year, and i agree the 8 foot mosh was way heaver than the metellica one but the metellica one went right to the back of the stadium thats how big it was

 

oh yer i no , it was huge apparently but i didn't get 2 see the size of it, as i was kinda stuck in the middle of it but i asked my m8 how big it was after and she said that the whole rugby field was crammed with bogins lol, and what i could see of the stadium looked very full so that was very cool, but i didnt like the part where i almost suffocated from being squashed , oh well it was fun tho. Glad they ddnt play much from St. Anger aswell, also very glad that they played Sanitarium, love that song. Heard the mars volta were really good tho, wouldnt have minded seeing them, would have been very....different haha.

 

Holy sh*t if slipknot come, the BDO is gonna go off. i got the disasterpiece dvd and the mosh covers the whole floor. kaching.

 

should be interesting to see slipknot at the BDO, should be interesting to see the crowd it pulls in

 

I just saw the scissor sister cover of Comfortably Numb on MTV. Can't say I'm that impressed. I was so fucked off - it was on the top ten at ten countdown of the top ten covers. AND GUESS FUCKING WHAT???

Britney Spears' cover of "I love rock and roll" (originally by Joan Jett) and Limp Bizkit's cover of "Behind blue eyes" (originally by The Who) were BOTH higher in the countdown then Nirvana's cover of "The Man Who Stole The World" (originally by David "Diagonal" Bowie). In fact, Limp Bizkit were fucking NUMBER TWO. AS FUCKING IF.

Number one was "its my life" by no doubt... I can't remember who did the original of that... I dunno if its the best cover I've ever heard though... *shrug*

 

The Auckland date for the BIG DAY OUT according to this press release posted on the actual BDO web site is the *21st of janurary 2005*. alittle FYI for ya.:sunglasse oh yer and apparently AC/DC is coming too.

 

yeah, Rumour is Beastie boys, chemical bros r coming and Blink182 may even make an appearance! That will be mean!

finally somoene was above nirvana on a mtv countdown lol. Now i love nirvana, but they always seem to be number 1 on every countdown they qualify for..and its always smells like teen spirit, which is not even close to their best song. Although, it is extremely sad that it was britney spears and especially limp bizkit to knock them off.

GnR's Live and Let Die and Knockin on Heaven's door covers were better than all 4 of those covers.

OH man Papa Roach, I saw them with Red Hot Chilli Peppers and they went off. Papa Roach would rip it up if they played.
