If there is one thing that pisses me off worse than a conservative arguing an ignorant "point" in a debate, it is one that dismisses debate altogether and assumes they are "right." It makes me want to vomit in their face. Recently I had my conservative uncle laugh when we were discussing the war and civil liberties. "You'll understand one day when you get older. You're views will change." Har har har hardy har har!!!! What a dickhead! I said, "When is this 'one day' coming that you speak of? Because you and your ilk said the same thing to me when I was 17 years old. And you were right! I DID change. I got MORE LIBERAL!" Now I am in my thirties and am MUCH MORE liberal than I was even at 17. And I don't see that changing anytime within the next few years. So what? Do I need to wait until I am 50? 60? By that time, I don't think I'll be concerned with GAYS getting married (I think they should be able to), I'll be concerned with Social Security benefits--which will make more EVEN MORE LIBERAL! I don't see how workers, old people and the lower middle class keeping electing GREED MONGERING FASCISTS! But, I DO see how the fascist propaganda keeps truckin' -- GOD, GUNS, GAYS & TAXES. That's the itinerary of their whole goddamn election agenda. And for all the Conservative Assholes, WHAT THE FUCK HAVE YOUR LEADERS DONE ABOUT ANY THE ELECTION DAY ISSUES? Hmmm? Have they stopped gays? Abortions? No! Have they put "prayer back in" schools? No! They use these fucking issues to wedge themselves in -- fooling the voter -- and then get in and play monopoly with their corporate swine cronies. REPUGNANTCANS ARE THE EPITOME OF ELITISM AND INJUSTICE, POLLUTION AND GREED, WAR & TORTURE, OPPRESSION OF CIVIL RIGHTS, CIVIL LIBERTIES AND THE POOR. Their smug condescension would gag a maggot!
I think that we can agree that our "leaders" are not elected. The American public has been fooled into thinking that their opinions matter and that these elaborately orchestrated elections actually take into account our concerns and interests. I think what is becoming more evident to everyone is that our political system is a SHAM!
