George Carlin is speaking on the same day and same time as Widespread Panic is playing... who should I go see?

I've been leaning more towards George Carlin since he will probably take a long break soon... and Widespread Panic comes to my city every year.

I mean he's a registered Republican, and proud of it.

Do whatever you want. Like I said he's funny!

I agree, they are overrated. I'd still see them over Carlin without any doubt.

Ahh but the doses you are likely to obtain the Spread show will make you do so much more than think at Carlin's level. As to spread being overrated, I also agree. I never understood how frequently they sold out in St Louis. But they do put on an avg show. However, it is still a good time. I'd rather enjoy a good concert than a comedian but that's just me.

And as Carlin has gotten older, he's mellowed out. The new, sober, born-again, sensitive Carlin is definitely not the same as the 7 word sayin', massive rail blowin', authority-hatin' Carlin of old. Besides, can you really dance at a George Carlin show?

    are you on crack?

    Carlin, all the way
you are asking if you should see a legend or a filler band (ie good until some actual good bands come around)
