New York Yankees whip Detroit Tigers

The New York Yankees took the first game of the playoffs. Derek Jeter went 5 for 5, homering in his last at bat as the crowd chanted "MVP."

Jeter is unbelievable in clutch situations and this is coming from a red sox fan. Actually let me rephrase that jeter is unbelievable in october and that is why he is the new mr october. I had never known that jeter was this great when it came to october, he got hit after hit tonight and topped it all with a homerun. He is amazing and I wish the red sox had a guy like him, oh wait, we do have a guy like him but hes even better and his name is BIG PAPI and he is the MVP. Go red sox!!
