alright, i went to Long Island this weekend, and moved all my shit under my couch for security reasons. So when i get back (3 days later), there are yellow dots.... spores maybe... speckled on most of my bud. Im not questioning the smokablity of this stuff, as the flame will kill whatever mold and shit there is growing. BUt, it significatly diminishes the superficial appeal and smell of the weed. Any way to prevent/get rid of this occurance?
I would avoid smoking fungi. I believe there is medical documentation stating that smoking moldy anything is a health hazard. There is no way I know of to get rid of the mold. What I would do is seperate the moldy weed from the good weed asap. I've heard that converting weed to honey oil removes or does something to the mold that renders it harmless or at least less harmful than smoking moldy weed, but I'm not sure on that one. Maybe using a vape, which doesn't ignite weed, might lessen the risks.
well if it is mold, damn thats a bummer...that was bud you COULDA been smoking and if it isnt which there is a chance to but idk mayb post a picture of it? unless the pictures come out deranged and you cant really see the mold
its close to an ounce... so im not just pitching it... ill seperate the tainted buds from the seemingly clean ones... play guinne pig... and dry everything out before ever leaving it in a cool dark place again.
i smoked moldy bud. ive smoked bud with spiderwebs on them. im not dead, if anything i got even higher. but if someelse says its dangerous then it might be because i really dont know.
burning it doesn't magically kill it. many molds are harmless. many molds are not harmless. in fact, many molds are deadly. i guess you could compare it to playing russian roulette, although with a bit less of a dramatic edge. i certainly would not smoke moldy bud.
there are some stupid girls in my skewl that buy just about anything that people call weed these days..well there bud is mostly brown,gray... has random white spots on it and smells like shit.... they are fine.... but id never even touch that stuff not even with a 10 foot bong.
Make honey oil with butane. When the butane comes out it's so cold that it basially freezes the spores and shatters them. Much healthier than smoking it, but hey, pretend it's penicilin
I wonder if smoking the bud in a bong would filter out most, if not all, of the chemicals from the mold.
