My good friend, the Veteran Cosmic Rocker, turned me onto a website that includes a page that had such impact on me that I felt it was really imperative to share it with as many people I could. If what you see impacts you as well, check out the rest of the website - it is entitled "The National Priorites Project" and contains some really interesting stuff. The page I'm sending you to demonstrates how much the war is costing the United States financially; moment to moment. (Note: the financial loss in no way diminishes the senseless loss of life that this war gives rise to as well.) Here's the URL: http://www.costofwar.com I encourage each and every one of you to pass this on to anyone you know - it's quite an enlightenment. We've gotta get Dubya out! Langox510x; I'm thinking that what they're trying to convey when they say "compare it to the cost of" education, health care, etc., is maybe the senselessness of the allocation of the money - like, they're spending that much on the war as compared to "x" amount of dollars on education; or "x" amount of dollars on health care, etc. In other words, they're directing a whole lot more money towards the war than they are to the other things, like education, etc. ?? I didn't even get into that aspect of it, though; I was just stunned by the counter just a'spinnin' like there's no tomorrow - unbelievable! Thanks for responding to my post, anyway! Regards, Michaela
Man my taxes and I dont get to shoot a single person? Damn crying shame to toss away perfectly good tax dollars and not let a man shoot some cool shit.
