Wilmington-Carolina Beach, NC ?

I don't live in this area, but I have family who do.

Awhile ago my parents got caught in a rip tide and a young man pulled them both out. My parents have been trying to find this mysterious surfer ever since.
I would like to help them find this man. However, there isn't much I can do up here in Indiana. If anyone here is from the Wilmington, CarolinaBeach area and you know any information on this man. Please share it. My parents would like to thank him for saving their lives. (Seeing as they were too warn out at the time of rescue)

The only information I have on the matter is...
It was a young man around 17 to 21. And he 'towed' them out of the water. It was something like; he swam connected to the surf board. My mom was on the board holding on to the strap of a body board (?), which my father was holding on to.




He saved them and then he was gone......

 

Oh my god!!! My buddy told me about him saving some older guy while he was out surfin', sounds alot like him! He's 26, looks younger though...little goatee and sideburns...dark hair...is that him?
