Having seen videos of both, I'd have to give it to the tornado for inspiring pure awe at nature's destructive force. The volcano takes it for being completely unstoppable...a lava flow can be slow, ponderous, and easily avoidable, but there's nothing you can do to stop it from wiping out everything in its path.
nature is never a disaster until people park their fat egos in the path of it. people have known water flows down hill for as long as there has been a human species (and probably a lot longer then that, i think most mammels and some of the smarter reptiles are able to figure that one out too) yet people continue building houses on the flatlands next to the creek. (this is mostly due to something called 'economics' which is pretty bone headed too as far as i'm concerned) =^^= .../\...
Ice storms. I love ice. It's so beautiful... and ice storms, well very beautiful. I love seeing ice all over everything. Especially the trees, when they have one inch of ice stuck to their branches it's so pretty!
volcanos!!!! like they can create extra land when the magma is exposed to water and that would solve the space for people on earth
Since people do die in disasters, thats why their disasters. My favorite would be the "Black plague" of the middle ages. It brought down the numbers of mouths be be fed, by a overburdened farming system. It created new employment, like the people who pushed carts down the streets and yelled " bring out your dead" and of course grave diggers. They needed a lot of them . Just a little black humor.........................Alaskan
Hurricanes because they are so powerful. To watch the wind whip around and sideways rain is a neat site to witness.
earthquake coz i've experienced several light ones it's sorta exciting when nothing is seriously damaged seems like the earth dances...
"Favorite Disaster" ?? Man, what is wrong with that picture? I'm sorry, but there's just something really wrong about putting the words "favorite and disaster" together. Maybe "favorite natural weather occurrence"; or something like that might be more appropriate. I grew up in Florida and have experienced many hurricanes; I now reside in California and have experienced a few earthquakes; and there is nothing cool or groovy about either one. We're talking about things going haywire here, folks. Michaela _________________________________________ "They will never make a perfect heart until they make one that can't be broken." ....... Tornadoes are awesome spectacles of nature. Even though they do cause a lot of damage and kill tons of innocent people. They are still awesome. You've just got to respect something like that. I think it'd be cool to see one, from afar though. lol Tornado - [tawr náydō] -[Mid-16th century. Origin uncertain: probably an alteration of Spanish tronada “thunderstorm” from, ultimately, Latin tonare “to thunder.”]
I'm with my sis (Stonedmonkiwana) Tornadoes are so awesome but, you gotta respect some thing like that!
