Ooh, I just love thunder and lightning!!! ;)

I'm in Cardiff and we've had plenty of rain here tonight, but we haven't been blessed with a storm!

ironically growing up in the US, we were always given the concept of a rainy/dark/cloudy England. however, where I lived in the US there was A LOT more rain/storms/thunder/lightening/torrential downpours then I have seen here in the past year. I certainly don't miss the snow ... but I miss a good all night thunderstorm with accompanying lightening.

I find thunder and lightening pretty spectacular like. It is canny scary, but I guess that's all part of the show. I'll never use the phone or stand too close to any metal objects during a storm! But I can't take my eyes off the sky nontheless :)

The best is when the whole sky goes dark and the lights come on.

The best thunder and lightning is in the mountains. We have a flat in switzerland in the mountains that has a balcony that overlooks a big panorama scene thing. When there is lighting, you can see about 4 strokes at a time, hitting down on the mountains infront of you. And the thunder is damn loud and it echoes all around :)
