I was just posting on that long thread about if police should notify of raids beforehand, etc. When all of a sudden my anti-virus software tweaked out.
And, just as I type this it is doing it again saying that a filename srvkez.exe is trying to access my computer.
I have NOTHING else open with a connection to the internet.

As I've only been on here for a day, I was wondering has anyone else ever had this problem or are having it currently. First it was a Trojan Horse now this .exe file that is trying to connect dialers to my computer.

I am running Mozilla so I don't get pop ups, haven't clicked on any weird files (i at least try to be smart) ... but now everytime I come on here, this is happening.

Please, someone, anyone ... do you have a clue?

    What version Firefox?

What, if any, 'protection' programs are you running?
    Windows? Fully updated?

I've never had any problems w/HF... some questionable links but nothing directly from HF as far as I can tell...

Never had any problems with this site. Never had a problem from *any* site when running Mozilla because it doesn't run any nasty scripts without checking first like IE does.

That filename shows up nothing in Google. It sounds like it was an outbound connection not inbound. This might be triggered whenever you access the internet so it could happen on any site not just this one. Try running spyware removal programs like Ad-Aware and run a virus scan with whichever antivirus software you have:) What firewall do you have? At least it sounds like it's being caught before it connects.

    Adaware (free):

    AVG free antivirus:

It doesn't sound like anything to do with the website, it's most likely some kind of keylogger, perhaps?

Sounds like an email borne virus/trojan. It's probably something you got opening an email you shouldn't have...

Someone else just reported a trojan that shows up when you try to make a post here.

I'm not finding any of these files on our server.

You CAN possibly get a virus by clicking on a link from the forums to another site, so be careful. If your computer is well defended you probably won't have a problem.

Get anti virus software and check it out!

As far as your virus srvkez.exe goes, do a search and you'll probably find it's your computer that is infected.

I suggest you review recent emails received. You likely got it that way. Probably from a "former" member of the forums who is trying to implicate the forums by sending a virus that says it's "from hip", which is meaningless.

Nah, I'm not stupid enough to just open random e-mails. I've scanned with my Symantic Antivirus, and Spybot Search and Destroy, and it found files and programs, etc. Those were either deleted or quarantined but my Auto Protect still keeps popping up. So, I don't know what has happened. It only started while on that one thread; so this is why I thought it had to do with something on the Forum.

For whoever (i think Lithium) that asked, I'm running Mozilla 1.5.0.7

I have updated all my anti-virus, as well as spybot. My hubby is trying to get in touch with a geek friend of ours to see if he can help fix the problem. Symatic and Spybot says there is nothing there, but the Symantec Auto-protect keeps popping up with something. I even went into the Cookies folder myself and deleted EVERYTHING from the 30th, as that is when it occurred. But, well ... so far no luck. I was just wondering if anyone else had something similar occur.

I don't get any e-mails from the forum, and only have it linked to my Yahoo! account anyway, which I haven't even checked in the past few days, have only been using my blueyonder account.

    Oh well. Such is life.

I've never had a problem here before. I doubt it's the site.

Sometimes this forum has problems being recognised as a valid website by my starware sometimes.
