I wonder what movies from the last 5-10 years folk will call classics 20-30 years from now - What do you think?

'Fight Club' has classic written all over it I think!
    'Pulp Fiction' too.
And I think 'Clerks' is gonna see the distance also.

Definitely agree with 'Trainspotting', 'Sin City', 'Eternal Sunshine...' and I would hope 'American History X' stays around.

'Titanic' is chance to too really, yeah.

Hmm, what else...I think 'Magnolia' might have some staying power also. I'd hope 'The Usual Suspects' aslwell, but I'm not so sure about that one. It's future classic status I mean, the film itself is obviously brilliant!

One that I didn't think of before is The Blair Witch Project. It's not one of my favorite movies, and I know that a lot of people don't like it, but I don't think it's going to be forgotten. I think people will still be watching it years from now.

I personally dont think titanic deserves to be a modern classic, but i guess by popular demand.
now reqiuem for a dream...Damn good movie, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, another good one. The Da Vinci Code deserves to be there, and I think the Illusionist should too...

Some great ones mentioned so far... Pulp Fiction and all of Tarantino's films will be watched for a long time. American Beauty, Fight Club, Boogie Nights/Magnolia, The Royal Tennenbaums/Life Aquatic, The Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump, Titanic, As Good As It Gets, Eternal Sunshine (not one of my all time favorites but I'm in the minority), Groundhog Day, The Big Lebowski... perhaps Donnie Darko, Waking Life... as much as I dislike it, I'm sure Pirates of the Carribean will be watched for a long time.
