29/09/2006. "When you are in your room, you are physically isolated within its four walls, set apart from the world. But by means of thought you can make a habit of going beyond the limits of your room and expanding into an ever greater space: into your house, into the town your house belongs to... Then, realize that your town belongs to a region, the region to a country, the country to a continent, and the continent to the earth. As for the earth, it is one of the planets that belongs to the solar system. The solar system in turn belongs to a galaxy, and this galaxy is a small part of the cosmos. How amazing, then, that you are alone in your room and at the same time out in the cosmos! Since you are a cosmic being, why do you always limit yourself, why not open your eyes and tell yourself that you have cosmic work to do? To that end you need only change your way of thinking and become conscious of the fact that, as an inhabitant of the universe, you are one with it." Omraam Mikha‘l A•vanhov
well said. no sentient awairness is born to have it's perceptions narrowed nor to narrow the perceptions of others. not all of us have a room. but somewhere, some time, we get some chaince to be alone, our thoughts and perceptions unsullied by collective social coerciveness that creates the vail of illusion that we are somehow small and seperated from an endlessly diverse and only minutely explored universe. =^^= .../\...
