I was talking to some kids the other day about drugs and they all said that acid drips blood from your brain down to your spinal chord and that the blood stays there and cuases flashbacks years later. I thought it was complete bullshit but just for the hell of it I've decided to ask you guys anyway. So, please, prove them wrong.
Ya its bullshit, the doctors aren't sure what causes flashbacks but they think its a form of post traumatic stress disorder. So unless you had a really really bad trip, you aren't likely to get flashbacks.
it can also come from just dosing too often...not necesseraly a badtrip... its bullshit, but not the flashbacks lol
Definitely is bullshit. Flashbacks do happen though.. but only if you have some sort of mental disorder or if you eat acid everyday like food. Or if you have a really bad trip.
Wouldent a flashback be desierabole? It would be a nice supprise in my mind, but I have not done acid so im not sure what its like.
flashbacks defintaly occur after doing L for like aweek strait but its seems they only occur like up to a week afterwards usually a few days and its not like your full blown tripping its more like tracers and patterns
Flashbacks do happen but not necessarily just from "bad trip" related PTSD. The LSD and Shroom experience is often so powerful that little reminders or reminiscing about a trip can be enough to temporarily feel similar effects to a trip, usually not nearly as intensely as during the trip itself. But I've had them from good trips as well, which I imagine is more enjoyable than say a bad trip flashback. There's also an optical remnant condition that may happen with some people called HPPD, which isn't a flashback per se, just a similar visual distortion or tracers. As for the spinal cord stories, they're total BS. That doesn't mean just anyone should do acid though, it's definitely something to be taken seriously and respected IMO.

my geometry teacher has flashbacks during class sometimes. he'll just start staring at his hands really intently for a long time and just zone out. he told us he used to go to pink floyd and jethro tull concerts like every other day. he mustve eaten like $99239 worth of acid back in his day.
I'm goin to an orchestral Ian Anderson(Jethro Tull) concert soon. don't think ill find and acid there, I'm not really looking, but who knows, could find a good deal. either way i got some here so no big deal.
I have only had the opportunity to take LSD once, I've taken shrooms 3 times, and all of these experiences were years ago (though I've been looking to do it again ever since). Anyway, I still occasionally get like a tripped out feeling, where I start to see patterns or what not on the floor or walls. Not often, but if I'm tired or just waking up. It's nice though, and makes me wish I could trip fully. I've never had a bad trip, though I had a few bad moments when I took LSD that once. But, I think that was due to the relationship I was in back then. I'd love to come across some again, and share the experience with the person I'm currently married to.
