I can see the point of competition having it's influence on how schools are run,but I'd like to know more about Belgium's teaching methods,parental involvement and the attitudes that the kids have towards education. As you know there are many kids in America who have a negative view of academic achievement as not being cool,so I'am wondering if attitudes like that are a problem in Belgium? I'd also like to know if it is more common for kids in Belgium to study and learn more on their own outside of school which could be influenced by their attitudes towards learning.
