People who call and don't leave messages

I think it's kind of annoying. I mean, if you're going to call, why not leave a message? I mean, there had to be some kind of reason you called...

I keep getting calls from a specific number outside of my area code. It isn't anyone I know because the number (not the name) comes up when they call and they always seem to call when I'm at work or school, so I've never been able to answer.

I keep wondering who it is and am tempted to call the number back, but haven't. It's been happening for about a month now.

Does anyone else find it annoying when someone doesn't leave a message when they call?

Yes, but it's kinda hypocritical of me as I NEVER leave messages.

 

Sometimes I just get into that social anxiety mode...Ya know, how your own voice sounds silly to yourself when recorded..Or, I just know whatever I say will come out all wrong, sounding stupid or something..So, I choke, & simply hang up.
It certainly isn't out of a desire to offend the person I'm trying to reach, but that's just my explanation...
It wasn't me that called.

 

If it's anything to do with selling, they will call alot to get a pattern on when you are most likely to be in.. And do it without them paying for the calls...

 

Next time I call I will leave a message.

 

i never leave messages, but then again what i have to say is of little importance.

call them back if it bothers you that much. otherwise get over it.

 

That drives me a bit crazy as well... Just leave a messege where at the very least you say that you called. Arg.

I prefer people to not leave a message. I have caller ID. I don't need to waste air time or just my time listening to a message that you're basically going to repeat when I call you back.

In fact, for this reason, I usually have songs on my voicemail ranging from a minute and a half to two and a half minutes. If anybody is willing to sit through that they've earned the right to leave me a stupid message that I didn't want to hear in the first place.

 

if they're calling my landline, I prefer that they leave a message since I don't have caller ID there. Mostly frustrating because my dad will call on occasion and not leave me a message, so basically I think he hasnt' called me for some 5odd months just because his timing sucks (at least until I get ahold of him)

If they're calling my cell, it's about 50/50 that I want them to leave a message. With work, it's good to know if I should avoid them or not. With some friends, they leave hilarious freakin messages that I like listening to. With others, eh, if it's just a "it's me call me back", unless your number is blocked/private, dun bother.

 

I rarely ever leave messages either. But, my number comes up as private on caller ID's. So at least no one can say that I called and didn't leave a message.

I only leave messages for a few people. But I'm usually making fun of them for not answering the phone, or how dumb their voicemail message is.

But I don't talk on the phone much - oh and I only call back the people that leave messages.

 

You're one to talk about having a dumb voicemail message.

 

Go the fuck away. I liked my original voicemail message, but it was deleted.
