My mom planted some morning glory seeds a while ago and the vines have gone crazy the vines are every where and I was wondering if the plant makes fruit ar something or how do you get the seeds and when does the plant start producing seeds( what month) THanks!
middle of the flower... flower petals drop off & the central part of the flower has a little brown knob dealio about the size of yr little finger tip... when it dries well, you can hear the seeds rattling around inside sometimes (usually about 4 seeds per capsule)... typical dose of Ipomea violacea (= I. tricolor) morning glory seeds is 5 to 15 grams - like 150 to 400 or so seeds... ~ a tropical morning glory is Argyrea nervosa (hawaiian baby woodrose seeds) - but typical dose is usually 1/2 to 2 grams (say 4 to 12 or so seeds)... ~ check out some of the stuff over at websites like erowid or lycaeum for basic info & good links & such...
this dosage range probably only applies to the commonly known to be potent varieties such as heavenly blues, pearly gates, flying saucers... most say heavenly blues is the strongest, a bit fewer say pearly gates, and ive only heard of one person saying flying saucers are by far the strongest.
