I am very happy with this one :)
It took forever to make, but I think it is probably my new favourite skirt!

    what lovely colors!!

after making one with horizontal stripes for myself (different colored tiers), I've decided to never do that again. I call it my big butt skirt because it makes me look huge. LOL

Wow that's awesome! I want to make one ... I've always wished I could make my own clothes, but I suck at sewing. Plus I'm lazy. ;) Was it very hard? Did you use a pattern or pins or -- just make it up as you went? lol

hee hee yes thats my silly little kitty in the pcture ;)

I just made it up as I went.. It is basically just really long rectangles that are gathered at the top.. and each layer is a little bit longer than the one before it :)

Hey you sisters who think you can't sew but wish you could don't be afraid of it! I spent so many years saying I wish I could sew, being intimidated by the whole process. Store bought patterns and sewing books confused me. When I turned 30 my mom gave me a sewing machine. I fucked up the first bunch of things I tried to make, but after a while I got the hang of it. I found this wonderful book in a thrift store called "the illustrated hassel free way to make your own clothes" or something like that,it was written in maybe 1971 or so by some hippie sisters and told you how to make your own patterns. I can totally sew and design clothes now, I still have no idea about those store bought patterns but who needs em. Just keep trying, that's the key.
