So my friend got busted Saturday night with 1/2 oz in his car. This is how it went down.... He's taking his date home and as soon as he pulls in her driveway, the cop cuts his lights on and stops him. Cop asked my friend for registration, friend says his dad has it Cop tells friend to walk his date to the door and come back..he does so. When friend gets back, cop places handcuffs on my friend. Never asked for permission to search car, but somehow..while my friend walked his date to her doorstep, the cop discovers 1/2 oz in my friends glove box. To make a long story short, my friend stays the night in jail and gets to enjoy a cavity search and a terrible breakfast. This is his first time in jail...actually, this is his first time in trouble besides traffic tickets. Whatcha think?
illegal search and seizure if you or him didn't skimp out on the details. Fight it! Do not let this fucking pig get away with this shit. All that asshole cares about is making his quota. Make him think twice about overstepping his grounds in the future. If your friend has money, get a lawyer and take that mutherfucker down.
so let me get this straight. a cop randomly stops you and tells you to walk your date to her door, you then walk away from your unlocked car with 1/2 oz of weed inside of it even though theres a cop right there. despite that being completely stupid of you... the cop had absolutely no right to search your car.
Its not me its my roommate...initially he was pulled over because a tag light was out...it wasn't smart on his part to have 1/2oz weed in his car...especially since it was there for 3 days. Also, the cop had some lady(civilian) with him riding in the front seat not saying anything
