the only living boy in new york by farrrr but i have no clue why im not in nny and im not a boy?? i also like i am a rock
I love simon & garfunkel they are one of my favorites. I have too many favorite songs to list but one song nobody ever really mentions and I only saw mentioned once here is Bookends. I love this song it is so beautiful.
"The Sound of Silence" and "Mrs Robinson" is in my opinion their most outstanding and best songs. Scarborugh Fair may have a place here too, their rendition of it is so strange you can't resist liking it.
Scarborough Fair,Sounds of Silence, Homeward Bound, I Am A Rock. Paul Simon=So good live. It's too bad him and Art don't get along and could tour together again.
Awesome song, they're an amazing band. I have alot of favs too here are some of them "Mrs. Robinson" "For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her" "The Boxer" "The 59th Street Bridge Song" "The Sound Of Silence" "I Am A Rock" "Scarborough Fair" "Homeward bound" "Bridge Over Troubled Water" "America" "Kathy's Song" "El Condor Pasa "Bookends" "Cecilia"
i have bridge over troubled water on vinyl, sounds of silence on vinyl, greatest hits on vimy;, and parsley sage rosemary and thyme on vinyl....... i love simon and garfunkel...they are soo amazing!
Very difficult, more easy would be to answer which ones i am not mad over... Just recently bought the Concert In Central Park dvd - and let me say I was blown away!! It's too much!! Just some that grab me quickly, are: Late in the Evenin' Sounds of Silence Me and Julio New York El Condo Pasa But really, they're all so brilliant it's impossible to name a fave!!
Sound of Silence Mrs. Robinson The only living boy in New York The boxer For emily, wherever I may find her I am a rock Homeward bound Hazy shade of winter Poem on the underground wall America I'm probably missing out on a few that should have been included. This is just from the top of my head.
quite hailtotheking, it's hard to think of them all, like now, you mentioned I am a rock and I quite forgot to include that.... and homeward bound, too.
Bleecker St, I downloaded it the other day as my only copy is on Vinyl and i'm always amazed at how beautiful it is. A guess his solo stuff is inadmissable in this thread but I dont know many songs more adorable than American Tune!
Anyone else agree that Yes' version of America blows S&G's out of the water, even though they're both good?
