Many have tried to make it. Those many have failed miserably multiple times. This is why there needs to be like a North American Veggie Chili Cook-off so I can put my money where my mouth is. Good stuff! winter's a comin' means i get to make big batches.
I actually placed in the veggie section of a chili cook off.... the winner had meat, the rules did not say ONLY veggie ingredients. Sigh. They should call it what it means: "place to use the maligned bean."
For sure - I love chili. I don't care if I win, it'll just give me a reason to cook more chili! The last chili I made I threw in some tofu and it was almost indistinguishable from meat chili....which reminds me of a thread I need to make. brad
