I'm starting to think that good ideas are almost a sidenote in todays politics. If you are famous and have good charisma I think you can get away with bad ideas, Over a soft spoken old politician with no charisma but a great agenda.
I dont think I will be a racist or speak with a German accent, or wear silly clothes like hitler, just copy his arm movements - politicians dont do that anymore ! Imagine if Arnie started making gestures like hitler = especially viz zad agzunt of his Little old ladies would freak out ! I have plan to conquer Europe and the USA if all goes well though. Do you think if I was well liked the people in the USA would accept having a few thousand of my friends march into their country? I could unite the USA and Europe - it would be called The Sparkling Union of Imperialist Capitalist Pigs, and I would place the Capital in Iceland, or somewhere in Mexico I also have a plan to make a few people from Hip Forums into Generals and Undiplomats (people who get into fist fights with foreign diplomats).
here's something to think about: the reason the Maniac was able to sway so many intelligent Germans is he was bringing the power of the spoken word (usually via radio) to a highly literate society. the more novel method of comunnication (printed words in an oral culture, spoken words in a reading/writing-oriented culture) will grab more attention. (this theory is discussed in depth in The Alphabet and the Goddess by Leonard Shlain) His use of radio was either brilliant or simply luck. with the West being both television and internet obsessed, talk radio might be the equivalent "novel" factor.
In that case I am going to create a website and spread the vision that I have. As you have all been kind enough to advise me I see that you are all in favour of Hitlers arm gestures etc and think it would be a good idea. I will write my first speech about hippies and how hippies all agree that hitler was a great politician. Also I will mention that I think hippies may be looking for a dictator to lead them to conquer the world. I will look through hip forums to see what the policies should be. I imagine a large army of several hundred thousand jackbooted hippies (with flower armbands) marching into the USA and the whitehouse unopposed as our army will be far superior. I wonder what sort of guns hippies prefer and whether they like killing people with flamethrowers I will check this out. Hippies probably prefer killing with their bare hands as its more natural that way - a green death you might say. So I will look into martial arts and as their advice
