Romance in Russia?

Hello,
My name is Jack, and I'm really new at this! I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong place.
After trying, failing, and giving up on love, I'm learning about the tours to Colombia and Russia. I did some search and there are many many companies.
Can anyone give me an idea of who is the best and some their past experiences? Can your really meet young beautiful sincere women.
Are they really interested in getting married? Or is it as they say "too good to be true"? Thanks!

Speaking from my experience , Russian girls are gooooooooorgeous.
Beautiful , gentle , girlish , intelligent , cultured , like a laugh and can accept guys being guys.

Theyre also very home and family orientated- just dont neglect your side of the bargain or theyll go mad!

In many ways I prefer them over the vast majority of English girls.
( cue a torrent of English abuse towards me !: )lol)
But Im Russian on one side , by blood , so there's prob other factors working there too.

I had a really dillemna of a situation a last year ( one year ago this week)and into this year with one ( see an old post I started).

In your favour,some will be incredibly grateful for an easier life in the west with a nice standard of living and a guy who isnt an alcoholic gangster witha very low life expectancy

However , remember some people dont adjust to cultures and will always be a "Russian abroad".Remember Russia was / is a great superpower.Its citizens are proud , despite the diffics they face and dont altogether feel comfortable with the idea of "economic migrant status".

Others might frankly just want a visa and then disappear with a Russki once they get permanent status.

Donald Trump married east europeans and he could have his pick of many women ( even with his hideous haircut! lol).
Is there any partic reason you are fed up with local women ?

I am sure he..buys his gfs, much like hefner..he probably gives them so much they can not refuse. Its a well known fact hefner does this and I am betting its the same with trump.

Sure, some probably are. But then there are those who are more interested in your money and are hoping to get married just so they can legally move to another country where they have better chances to improve their situation. For them, marriage is a way to get rid of poverty. Which is understandable of course but still I'd feel really sorry for their husbands..

 

You would certainly have to give up on love to want to try the mail-order bride route. These women just want you to help them get out of the ghetto. Eastern Europe has gone to the dogs.

I know a guy in his 40s, who has lived with his mother all his life, who just went to Russia and got himself a bride. She's around my age, in her early 20's (or so she says, she looks about 16), and quite plainly finds him irritating. She's nice to his face, but you should see the looks he gets when his back is turned. Sure, some of these women may learn to love the men who save them from poverty, but it certainly doesn't start out that way.

 

I would not sympathize greatly with the men applying for packaged women. You want an instruction manual with that? Some of these girls seem decent. It's actually heartbreaking hearing stories of verbal or physical abuse they go through coming to a different country with a man who is likely socially inept, psychologically bent out of shape and too plain fucking nuts to attract local women.

Home-oriented? Want of a family? More conservative? Yea, right. Who are you trying to fool? Them or you? The bottomline, they're fish out of water in other western societies and this makes them extremely easy to break.

I regard the system as I would human trafficking. And to actually see members here tooting their horns for it, is ludicrous. Those girls may have their reasons for trying to get out of their own system, however degrading. I would not want to be them for the world, nor would I treat them manipulators. They're victims. Their exploited sufferings are a mockery to other women. As a woman, I'm aghast and disgusted. If I were remotely Russian, I would be enraged.

Understandably there are exceptions and a certain percentage that has learned to work with their differences, or with whatever power dynamic they have. Those are bizarre anomalies. Truly, utterly no personal offense to anyone here but the whole issue makes my skin crawl and bile rise to my throat. I am disappointed with the lack lustre, apathetic reaction of the women on the forums.

 

It's not like the women are packaged and sold....I've taken a tour before. *dodges vegetables* Women choose to go and meet you. But Colombia AND Russia? Wow - slight difference in cultures there but the women in both places are unbelievable sweet and people are very friendly in Russia and Colombia. Colombian families are a little bigger... anyway... yes the ladies are very motivated for marriage especially before they hit 30, and they really don't care much about your age, finances, etc - just want a good guy to love them and their children if they have them. There aren't many tour companies that go to both, the only one I know of is A Foreign Affair. They could probably offer you both options. European Connections goes to Russia too and I've heard good things about their tours as well.

I'm talking about marraige-not long distance puppy love dating.

 

I have to agree with Wizard on that one.
My advice Jack is , let your friends /family meet whoever you decide to have a relat with from Russia / Colombia.Let them check out whoever it is u want to commit to.

Make sure youre giving whoever it is enough -not just a visa and a nice house etc.
And make sure youre getting enough - not just a fit girl whos perfect to your face.

Sure in a way its a shame that poor vs good living standards should come into any relat equation.
But as Wizard says , thats the way of the world.
Lots in relats is about bargaining processes.

Plus if you dont meet the girl of your dreams in Colombia or Russia ,you might have the makings of a very profitable Import Export business!Know what I mean!

 

i've seen a couple hour long specials on brothel resorts in those countries, sometimes the 'resort' owns it own island, and all the girls get theri own little hut/house. the main attraction for the girls working there is to find a nice forgeign guy they can eventually marry, of course all of that is optional just like whether or not they sleep with you and who you sleep with (of course sex would be promoted by the owners) but yea, you may want to look into that instead of simply ordering a bride.

 

Went to Colombia with TLC 2 years ago. Loved the people, the city of Barranquilla is awesome but some guys in my group said Medellin is even better. Nice girls but having no office staff to help out with little details was a pain at times. You're pretty much on your own to arrange hotel, flight etc - but Colombia is totally worth going for!

 

why such the hostile attitude?

The fact of the matter is, I AM broke and have attracted girls and have a wonderful girlfriend...welcome to the life of a college student. and to belittle a story you know nothing about to the title of "puppy love' is unbelievable to me. I just saw her (she left yesterday) and we were living together for quite sometime - it was amazing and we will see each other again in december. we have realized a lot, living on our own together, even if it was for a short time.

what iwas told is they will have some beautiful girl emai9ling you, getting your hopes up then within a few days she'll claim she cant contactyou anjymore because she cant afford to keep her email account (claimming it costupto $100 a month) they willtryto getyou to pay for it...then comes the costs to do the paperwork for visa etc..before youknow it youy can shell out thousands tomeet a girl who might not even be a girl
if your treally desperate, there are alot of sweet russian girls on im's like icq or msn &yes russian women are gorgouse, & manydofeeltheres a severe shortage of decent menthere so are open to meeting new people..but iwould seriusly avoid any agency promicing to getyou a girl..
1 guyisaw onthe news a year or 2 ago lost over 50 thousand $ to 1 of those agencies onlyto find the girl he expected to marry was already married & was paid to sucker him out of his cash

 

Go to a lapdancing bar , you'll meet loads of Russian girls in some of em.
And Russian girls are the best.IMO.

But heres some advice.
1)NEver underestimate someone's powers of being devious.
2)If a girl smiles at you , always try and understand why shes smiling.Is it cos she loves u or is it cos of your wallet/ passport?
3)EVERYTHING is a bargaining process.Friendship , relationships , work , EVERYTHINg.
Dont jump into commitments , have more than one option , NEVER let your feelings make u feel locked in.
4)Buy some books /speak to some experts on dating etc.
Some right ugly / poor / stupid / weird people have premier league girlfriends -because they understand the art of relationships.

Why do you want COlombian /Russian girls?Maybe u agree with Donald Trump and think slavic women are the most beautiful , warm , and perfect girls in the world.
Maybe you think its just easier?I dont know , Im not passing judgement or criticism in any way.

Learn about relats , learn about emotions , learn to be free .
Then you can be happy!

Well, my wife is African, and much of the stereotype applies to her as well. Gentle, girlish, intellingent, cultured, likes a laugh and accepts guys. Probably not as beautiful as your average Russian girl, but still attractive. Oh yes, when we met she was interested in a real relationship: marriage, children. No half measures.

But that was twenty years ago, and we are still very much in love. She had something that seemed to be lacking with the Australian girls I knew, and to this day it is hard to put words to what it is. She isn't subservient or lacking in confidence, probably her acceptance of men being men is the real biggest difference between her and Western women. She doesn't want to change me and she understands I am different. It is very subtle, but quite noticeable in our relationship. Not surprisingly, her acceptance of me strengthens my love for her.

The Western girls on this forum are going to possibly get annoyed or confused, but a few other guys on this thread have mentioned similar without the long-term personal experience. So if the Russian girl you find is genuine, then you may find yourself in a relationship that is almost too good to describe.

I dont think its necessarily a stereotype with Russian girls being more "girlish " as opposed to feminist.
Sure Im sure some are feminists or tomboys or whatever , but Russian culture and say American culture are very different.

I find the "American businesswoman" stereotype like Hillary Clinton- short hair , deep voice , broad shoulders , aggressive tone really off putting.
( I wonder about this claim about political women etc taking testosterone injections , and hormone poisoning of Western water too- but thats going onto another story).
Likewise the "Ladette culture" in Britain of girls competing with men and drinking beer and fighting in pubs.

At the end of the day , Noobie , or anyone else , you only live once( well unless ure Buddhist etc!)
Enjoy life , give it a try.

Soccer players , rich businessmen and the like can choose from millions of girls - and they go for Slavic or Latina girls.
Be balanced , take advice of people around you , protect yourself , have options , walk away if necessary but GO FOR IT!
