stone, wood or glass?

alright well. i'm lookin to by my first piece. I've already got like this sick wooden one a kid gave to me a couple days ago, and i hit out of it, but the weed wasn't that good (mersh) and so the effects weren't that great. so i couldn't tell if it hits as good as glass.

i'm told stone and wood don't hit as well as glass, but i was looking online and saw a SICK stone pipe for like 15 bucks. it was like something bilbo baggins and the dwarves would hit out of.

so could somebody give me the run down on different pipe-materials?

stone pipes are nice (sometimres thoughthe stem holes are thin & clog ez) some types of stone can give off toxins whenheated though,
glass is definately my favorite then stone, then metal or bone. wood would be probably my least favorite of those choices
glass & stone would be virtualyidenticle if theyre basicaly the same design, but stone would probably not get as hot
my favorite for a stone pipe was ricolyte (spelling?) or pipestone but i will only smoke from pipestone if it is a real cerimonial pipe & is treated as such

bone & antlerdoes make a nice pipe as well, & 1 of the best chillums i ever had was made fromthe jawbone of a pirhana

yea its a good thing, but glass is usually easier to come by than stone, and in my opinion glass looks way cooler than stone most of the time, and thats imporant to me... but i had a stone chillum for a long time and i loved it... best part was that i didnt have to worry as much about it breaking... now as wood pipes go i have smoked quite a few and i thing the best thing about those was that i made em all myself... so that definetly added to why i like em... plus again, they are more durable to falls than glass... its all personal preference really...

 

i feel that glass is the only way to go. the stone bowls ive tolked out(it was marble/might have been its design that sucked) sucked alot and heated up and burnt your lips instantly.

but ive gone through some great glass pipes and they allow you to get the best taste of your weed. so that is my recomendation

I work stage crew. Most venues have a "no glass" rule, so I use my wood pipe.
