....wow i went to the dead show at nissan pavillion, amazing, just amazing i gave someone a ticket since they didnt have one. i was on the right side of the lawn, when facing the stage wearing a bright tiedye shirt dancing, anyone go?
I went because it was my hometown. All I had to say it was a awesome show alot better then the ones I have seen on this tour. I also thought they did an interesting song selection. But I'm getting kind of tired of seeing "Stella Blue" I've seen it enough.. Play me a Miracle Bobby! I thought it was funny though because Prince William County Cops are dicks... and they couldn't control us because Nissan has the worst parking lot situation!! We were stuck there for about an hour. I was surprised they didn't pull out a Shakedown St. because their was no shakedown. One guy got arrested and put in jail because he was walking around selling patches! It was crazy. I'll be hitting up the rest of the tour and I can't wait! I heard they are going to do a Day Tripper!!
I just saw them 2 weeks ago at the Tweeter Center in New Jersey. It was TOTALLY AWESOME!!! I had such a good time. I danced for hours. Nothing too exciting happened as far as the crowd goes. EXCEPT this one young guy decided he couldn't make it to the bathroom and pissed all over the lawn. It was a bit gross considering it was going under peoples blankets. What amazed me was that no one pitched a fit. I loved being amoungst the crowd. It was a PERFECT night!!!
glad you had an awesome time! dead shows truly are a one of a kind experience. and about youre tiedye comment- ( i truly dont mean any negativity towards you, i just find this humorous) i love how people distinguish themselves with that. I heard some guy on his cell at the first dead show i hit this year saying "im on the lawn.. the one in the tie dye with the ponytail" i just stopped, looked at him, looked around at the thousand other ponytailed tide dyed wearing brothers and laughed my ass off. sorry for the unrelated rambling- but again glad you enjoyed the show and a possible welcome to the dead scene
one of the people i met in the parking lot found me because of my tie dye shirt, it is A LOT lighter than anyone elses i saw there, very white since that was the first shirt i tie dyed, i also bought 8 tabs of acid between a friend and myself
I would take it easy on the sid... I am just saying that when Jerry died I started thinking about it , and I had mostly good trips to look back on and too few actual shows that did not inclued the trips. I felt like I had cheated myself.
LOL, yeah I was going to say something similiar, like "hmm, dancing people in tie dye.. you don't really find many of THOSE at a Dead show!" And of course, I don't mean anything negative by that. Anyway, this tour was my first dead concert, too. And I also had a great time It was a couple weeks ago, though.

this was my first show too, it kicked ass. it seems that drunk guys pissing on the ground is pretty universal at shows, there was a group of them next to me doing that. saw a guy with a stealie yarmulke on, need to get myself on of those.
Not to continue the guy peeing story...But what is with the men's line at the shows? My Husband said guys were pissing in the sinks. There was a long line for the men's but the ladies was moving right a long...
that show was nasty, the drums were awesome in the second set and then into space that was so trippy, loved the casey jone version they pulled off, and then the second set mexiciana blues and stagger lee. Just a great show all over. And warren's set was so peacful, i ate 4 hits and it kicked right when warren took the stage, such a beatiful day and a perfect atmosphere for a show, cant wait for the next one... My fav was like a rollin a stone I had a moe. shirt on and cargo camo shorts, anyone see me?? this was also my first show.

My husband and I were at the Sat. Camden show. OMG Terrapin was so great. When my husband came back from the bathroom he had a horrible look on his face. All he said was that the bathroom was evil. After the show my sister and I hit the ladies room and it was pretty gross, but there was a guy in there using one of the stalls. My sister and I just looked at each other and said well I guess they are bad if he's in here.
nissan was my first dead show as well!! it was such an amazing show. i mean...casey jones and mexicali blues. STELLA BLUE!! wow just everything. drumz was amazing that night...wow.
did anyone see a car broke down on the way out, that was me, i had to walk behind the venue and go to the PD for water since my car was overheated, and i was still trippin, they all looked at me funny as soon as i busted up in there...
