Yeah, that is why they have to feed on plastic there. In India I would not even call them cows, I call them bones.
The cow is sacred for the same reason, it is just that it is more valuable for its milk than its meat and therefore they do not eat them.
People eat emu around here, HappyJoy and I used to live where you live..... live in MD now. Emu is actually much healthier then beef.
i really like aligator steaks. good stuff. i raise my fork to steve irwin..though those were crocodiles, but similar.
I didn't like alligator very much... didn't hate it either. But I only had alligator bites that had breading... I'm sure it can be prepared in a much better way. Saw some footage of Irwin's memorial thing today and it brought a tear to my eyes.
kangaroo meat. that i what a friend of mine used to call mcdonalds meat when i was growing up. she used to say that her mom would tell that to her all of the time. it kind of grossed me out.
well, back in the beginning of our country, there was a movement to have the turkey be our national bird, instead of the bald eagle, because it was strong, meaty, fun to hunt. i don't really remember why. instead we chose the bald eagle, which is now verging on extinction, i believe, while turkeys are flourishing. turkeys are flourishing because they're food. so, if you wanna make sure something never goes extinct, make it a viable food source. you'll have so many you won't know what to do with them.
