And now Muslims are going ape shit over some comments the pope made about how Islam is a religion spread by the sword. Look it up on the web; in less than 100 years after Muhammad died, his Muslim armies conquered Egypt, Syria, Iran, Iraq, and much of Afghanistan. They later swept across North Africa from Egypt to Morocco. The people they conquered could convert to Islam, pay taxes to continue practicing their own religion, or be executed. In 711 a Muslim fleet landed in Europe, conquering most of Spain and Portugal, then pushing on until they were defeated in France.

I'm not knocking Islam as a whole, but it sounds like it was spread by the sword alright! Granted, many Muslims reacted intelligently, pointing out Christian atrocities like the Crusades and the Inquisition, but many others had to fly off the handle, rioting, hanging the pope in effigy, burning churches and even killing a nun! There’s even talk of killing the pope, all of which gives Bush’s war on terror a little more legitimacy! If a terrorist does kill the pope it would be bigger than 9/11!

Amen to that. This system of things will come to an end eventually and there will be a new heavens and a new earth and Gods rightious government will rule over these, This is the government that im for. It is the only government that will restore perfection and bring about true peace. My vote is for Gods new system of things when it happens and that is the only system im for.:sunglasse

Every prolific faith in the world was spread through violence.

Why people feel blowing things up as a responce to that isn't ironic... I have no idea.
