Anyone From WEST VIRGINIA???

Hey fellows Hippies!! I was wondering if there was anyone from WEST BY GOD out there????

 

I'm not from WV but I live near there in east KY near Huntington, WV. I'd have to say that the West Virginians are a lot more hip than the Kentuckians.
Huntington is a nice town with a lot of hip people. It beats anything on this side of the river, anyway.

 

Well I think that WV is a wonderful place. I live in the south close to virginia. Like Princeton. don't know if you've heard of it.

 

lol, all of my school teachers are from west va because they cant afford to live in loudoun. wow, that's really kind of sad

 

I can't say I've ever heard of Princeton, but I don't go down into the southern part of the state very often. I'm in the greater Huntington area, up by the Ohio river (near South Point, OH and Ashland, KY).

So what is Princeton like? Do you have much of a hipster scene or an arts community down there? If so I might come down check it out soon.

I lived in Ohio for my entire life, but just moved to W.V. this summer. It's really pretty right now with all the leaves changing color, heh.

I'm in Marion County.

 

It is sad but the price of housing is going up here too. Can't find a house much under $350,000.00

 

I'm from Wheeling originally, lived in Morgantown when I was in school, lived in Charleston for about 2 years. Now, I'm in Ohio just across the river from Wheeling.

I'm from WV and I've been complaining about the lack of a WV forum for a while now. I'm living in OH right now, but I'm from Huntington and I visit at least once a month for the weekend.

 

i'm in morgantown right now, love this place, it's great. I really think that West By-God is one of the best states.

Also from Huntington,56 and I work at the VA. Carpenter most of my life and didn't realize so many from Huntington.Willyobiker I have ridden up in your neck of the woods many times,maybe someday we but into one another,later peoples

 

Im from WV 2 lol everyone who is on here seems to be from Huntington to, sweet lol

 

yo!...Princeton is a good area...I especially like the eastern WV areas. We live just outside of Huntington also(bout 10 min.out)...Have spent time away working in other states,but always longed for the hills!...way back in the 70s I used to show folks(in Jersey) picturres of WV and most of'em would've killed to spend time here away from their enviornment....We also like to get away to areas like Lewisburg(chocolate festival in the summer-yum!!!)..Marlinton(road kill festival)and that whole side of the state with the bluegrass festivals etc...we love it!.....We'll die hillbillies!...let the others laugh at us, at least we'll die happy! But then I'm 60 as of last month,so there's not a lot that impresses me anymore!

 

Damn that Calhoun County. Friggin' radicals...
