Since 6:30pm I've had 45 second to 1 minute contractions every 10 minutes. I went for a 3.5 mile walk today. Within the past 2 hours, they've become super intense. I've called the hospital and they said not to come in until my contractions are every 5-6 minutes or my water breaks. They told me not to get *too* excited because labor can last a LONG time. (Which I've noticed happening to many mamas here) They also said it could be a false labor....but, the contractions are steady and nothing makes them ease up, so my fingers are crossed. My luck....it's probably false labor. Or, this sausage and biscuit I'm eating will make me snap out of labor.
Good luck mama! i haven't been able to get on here too much in the last few weeks cuz of school, but I've been thinking about you! I'm happy I checked in! Hopefully this is the real thing now, you've been doing such a good job resting up and making sure that everything is going to be ok for Alexis! ***labour vibes coming your way!***
*belly vibes* Good luck! Rest, momma! Remember that labour can be a LONG time, so rest up as much as possible. And I know that sounds impossible. But if you're going to do this naturally, you have to have some rest! PLus, it might be your last chance to take a nap without a babe saying otherwise!
Good Luck! Am excited to meet your little girl... heck, who knows? My little Mandred might move back to Cincinnati in 20 years, meet and fall in love with your little one.... lol.. wouldn't that would be funny!?
Haha. That'd be cool! Today, for 3 hours I had contractions that were 5-6 minutes apart. I went to the hospital after the first 2 hours and didn't have any change in dilation. After that, they went back to 10-15 minutes apart. They aren't too strong anymore....my luck. So, tomorrow, my future step mom is going to go walking with me and then Preston is coming over day after (If I make it that long) to help things along.... . I'm trying to do it naturally. Haha.
Good luck. A lot of times, especially with the first baby, there is a lot of "practice labor." The best thing to do is to go wth the flow, and don't go to the hospital until it is inevitable. What you are doing, really. Hugs and love. I have a candle ready to light for you and the baby. Let us know, if you can, when it's for sure. You can have this practice labor for days. Usually it's more intense in the evening. It's just your body practicing. Blessings to you and the baby.
Good luck on keeping your head with all the excitement!!! Look forward to hearing more. ~~~~vibes and hugs
Yeah, it was my experience that practice labour was ALWAYS more intense in the evening. Best thing to do is ignore contractions until you *know* you're in labour. And when people told me I'd *know*, I didn't understand. But once I *knew*, I really did understand. Wait for your body to tell you for certain that Alexis is coming. I know you're excited. But treat these last few days like glory days, because soon you won't be able to pee without a baby on your hip!
oh man! goog thing i checked in this morning!! i've been busy w/ sky and my own belly... good luck, you'll been on my mind~~hugs
Still nada. I'm almost 3 cm dilated, and they offered to induce me, but the doctor that was oncall that day is a doctor I do NOT want touching my baby, so I said no. I'm progressing, just slowly. Been in a lot of pain....back, headaches, cramps....but, still pulling through.
