HAS anyone ever tried astral travel and succeeded? i've been trying but maybe there are methods that may help me better. any ideas?
Why do you want to astral travel? This is an important question. There are lots of nasty things on the astral planes. You don't want to confront them out there or worse yet give them a window into your own head. This happened to a lady of my acquaintance just two weeks ago. Something creepy got into her head and talked her into stepping in front of a train. She was squashed like a grape, quite dead. I have also seen people driven mad by what they encountered on the astral planes. You can get into real trouble out there. And its not really necessary. The fact of the matter is that there are many really cool psychic head trips that are lots more fun and way more mind blowing than astral travel. Chi gung energy work, (see any books by mantak chia or dr. jwing ming yang.), native american sweat lodges, (read thomas mails's books on fools crow and native american pathways), tom brown and the whole tracking movement, (check out tom's books, the tracker and awakening spirits), in addition you can make great mileage with silva mind control methods. I would also recommend steven harrod buhner's books, the secret teachings of plants and the lost language of plants. You might also enjoy sususn weeds wise woman herbal stuff. Just google her. All of the above are solid ways to pursue psychic stuff. There are other solid paths. The point is that you should not go roaming around the universe on your own with no training. By learning a solid spiritual discipline it will give you a spritual core and hopefully a purpose which can help protect you. If at that point you still want to astral travel your best course would be to find a serious, and i do mean serious, shaman to teach you. You need someone older with real experience out there to guide you. How do they say???? Dont try this at home kids. Good luck and stay out trouble.
if you ask me now i think i have done a astral travel but did not succeed. maybe its because it did not last long enough
Well the only travel I know about is on a bus........ but if you're looking for an out of body experience, it's been known to happen and there are books on the subject. I wouldn't recommend it. That's all I know. Bustramp
I *would* recommend it. If I'm not supposed to astral travel, then howcome it happens to me randomly, without even trying? Pick up some books on it, do some research and start flyin! There is a website, which the author of "Astral Dynamics" started, it's called: www.astralpulse.com/, which contains a forum that talks about astral projection, lucid dreaming, energy issues, etc. There are people that have projected hundreds if not thousands of times on there. It will take you to the main page which has a lot of gimmick looking stuff but if you click on "forums" on the left hands side it will take you to the forums, where you can get tons and tons of info. As far as I know there isn't any danger, but even if there is a danger, what's it matter? It's dangerous for me to bike to school every day. There are dangers in meditation and energy work - prematurely raising your kundilini energy? People go insane doing *that*, not astral projecting. Even the author of "astral dynamics" said he accidently started raising his kundilini and had to take a years break of meditation. Like attracts like in the astral - if you don't go in with a negative vibe, you probably won't have a problem. Chances are, if you're not ready to encounter things you might not be able to deal with, you won't be able to project. There's no such thing as coincidence. I started with "Astral Dynamics," by Robert Bruce, but I've heard good things about Robert Monroe's books. If you're worried about projecting you might to try lucid dreaming. I recommend "Exploring the world of lucid dreaming," by Stephen Lebarge or something along those lines.
I have astrally travelled without trying. The experience lasted about 5 seconds, but when I experienced it, the time spent seemed to be about 1/2 hour. So the experience could be refered to as dreaming awake. And like dreaming the scenario is made up of living peoples' memories and imaginations.
dont worry be happy, I've tried astral travel a few times in which I've traveled to the moon, and to other distant planets and solar systems. Oddly enough at the end of each journey, I find myself in some sort of underground cavern, alongside a large pyramid with unusual Hieroglyphs. Hotwater
I ended up talking with the same angel like person who was in the magic mirror at my home. I offered her a cup of coffee but forgot about passing to her thru the looking glasss.
these things happen when you are ready or reach a particular level of understanding, dont try to force spiritual evolution. we're talking about a lifestyle here. the only real method that is effective for astral travel is to walk the "pathless path" in sober waking conciousness....youll be opened up in this way to amazing things
