What percentage of men are circumcised?

That's fucking sad to say the least.

 

i got it done when i came out of my mother...they made the choice, i have no clue why they made the choice and frankly, i really don't give a shit why they made the choice.

 

So your telling me when you were born your parents asked the doctor (to put it crudely), would you ever take that bit of skin of the top of his penis, I don't think it looks well at all. You're all gone nuts over there.

 

they probably had it planned before i was actually born to have it done, so that the doctors could be ready to do it...but yea, they asked the doctor to do it. and most of the people i know are circumcised...i only knew one kid last year at school who was not circumcised.

 

I don't know what created the circumcision craze in the US. i myself am cut, never really think too much about it. I actually can remember in high school kids being made fun of that weren't cut - which I found to be completely retarded. I've been told that sex is more pleasurable for guys who are uncut - but this I don't really get as how would they know?

Tell me what justification there is in doing it. Why is it necessary and why force any sort of barbarism onto any human being. If it's not broke why fix it. Why change anything that God has naturally given us.

 

i think people make way to big a deal about this.

from my experience... about 10 percent of guys or less in the u.s. are uncumcumsized... sp.- but really, whatever. doesnt bother me either way and i dont know why it would bug anyone either way.

 

i don't know why its done or is still done. you gotta ask the parent that decided to have it done or the person who chose to do it because i can't answer that question of why its done. but i don't think its anywhere near barbarism.

i'm still natural and normal. i don't see how removing a little skin makes you not natural and not normal.

i had cartilige removed from my knee, does that make me not normal? its the same concept, at least in my eyes.

It is completely incongruous to compare any knee operation to circumcision.
you seem to have no basis for your argument and I bet deep down you wish you never had it done to you or itleast were able to be given the choice.
I still think it's barbaric and unecessary and nobody hitherto has given a good reason as to why it's done.

While we're on the subject, this thing kinda freaks me out.

 

For years it was thought to be more sanitery. There was a fear of infection in uncircumsized penises. I'm not sure if that is still the prevailing thought now, though.


I am and wouldn't have it any other way. So is my son and grandson.

 

I have no clue why genital mutilation is so widely practiced here. If someone actually decides to have themselves circumcised I would have no problem with that, but the fact is it is done to babies with no say in the matter, that is just sick and cruel, whatever the misguided intentions may be.

You know, in China they used to bind baby girl's feet so that they would have aesthetically pleasing small feet. Is that ok?

In some african societies, they cut off little girls' clitorises at a young age, because it is supposed to make them better wives. Is that ok?

In ancient south american cultures they used to bind babies' heads between two boards so their skulls would take on an aesthetically pleaing long, slender shape. Is that ok?

If you don't think these practices are acceptable, why do you think the practice of cutting a piece off of a baby boy's penis is acceptable?

Petty excuse, who are you to decide whats a good excuse and what isn't? To me it's just a piece of skin being removed. to other people it might be different. You don't know me, so you have no clue as to what i think deep down and you have no right to even assume to what i think deep down inside me. i already stated i don't care that my parents had me circumcised. you still haven't told me why its barbaric?

It is unnecessary surgery performed on unconsenting babies.

It is barbaric in the same way that tattooing babies would be barbaric. You might not have a problem with it being done to you, but some of us do wish we still had our whole dicks.
