Legality of bongs

Is it true that in some countries it's illegal to sell bongs?? My mate was telling me this last night, but I'm finding it hard to believe.

 

its illegal to sell bongs where i live but not illegal to own them... Which does not make sense to me at all!

yeah, bongs are illegal, but water pipes are legal. so, essentially, the label "bong" is illegal.

 

if marijuana is ILlegal, then why are water pipes legal? you dont smoke tobacco out of them do you?

Ask Tommy Chong.... It is strange. In the US you cannot sell stuff like that, but you CAN own it in certain places. In Las Vegas, you can SELL it, just not OWN any. How fucked up is that???

 

here in wyoming you can buy any "tobbacco" pipe/waterpipe if you're over the age of 18. Only problem is that there are only two headshops in laramie (state college town) and they both are kinda pathetic, neither with any awesome bongs. There is one here in Cheyenne, but you have to be 18 to even enter, and i think theres one in jackson, not sure though. Naturally this means that Lowes does amazing turnover in copper plumbing connectors.

So, if I took a 7Up bottle and made it into a bong and toked some, I could get some time in my state 'cause our paraphernalia laws suck ass.

 

A water pipe is used for smoking Tobbaco, and is legal.
Bongs are illegal.... a water pipe is no longer legal when it has Marijuana resin in it... or traces of marijuana...then it becomes drug paraphennalia

lol in london theres a place called the camden markets, and you can get absolutely ANY marijuana-related item on teh market, on streetstalls, and poeple even try to sell you hash cookies on teh street (though no one does since theyre not real.. if they were the parson wud be an idiot). this place was actualyl the second busiest place i saw in all of London, following oxford circus i think.

 

Haha to fucking right! How can they stop you buying a fucking pip/bong whatever is beyone you. I can imagine the police in Ireland stoping me with a bong and trying to arrest me cos there was resin in it. If the case ever got to court (which I can assure you it wouldn't), the judge would throw the case out and tell the police to stop wasting his time. There are a few head shops in Dublin and you can buy any sort of pipe or bong you want.

No offence to all you yanks, but I would hate to live in your country.......and the funniest thing is America is mean to be "the land of the free" lol what a joke.

 

you can buy all the pipes or "water pipes" you want.... theres 4+ head shops in my town and i live in a town with under 40,000 people in it.... "Bongs" are considered marijuana paraphenalia, and "water pipes" are for tobbaco...there is no difference other then the name, and maybe the little picture of a potleaf on the bong... Although people get in trouble with paraphenalia alot here if it does have resin..

 

Joke indeed! I'm moving to Canada ASAP, I'm tired of this country and it's bullshit. Not to mention Bush and his hooligans, I just hope the rest of the world realized he doesn't speak for the rest of us.
