something organically grown and good for you healthwise can be so deadly???????

Im talkin the organically grown fresh spinach, which has now cost 2 lives and many others around the nation are sick, because of ecoli.

what do you veg heads think about that??

there is no such thing as healthy food.

you can get sick no matter what.

the spinach didn't make them sick.. the shit fertilizer did.. e.coli is an intestinal bacteria ... not possible to get it from a plant.. unless the plants got shit on it thats infected with e.coli..

why do you think so many people get "food poisoning"? eating shit

People should learn to wash off their fruits and veggies.

to all of you who said to wash it, this strain is said to not come off from being washed. that's why we're not even serving it in our salad bar at work... in fact we're not even serving the bag of mixed greens that doesn't even contain spinach.

to all of you that said that its not the spinach that contains the bacteria, I know this. its cross contamination. Ive worked in the restaurant business for years. still, people dont realize that anything can be harmful for you. even the healthy foods.

I blame the gub...ment. That's right. Hell, they inject our fruits and veggies with all kinds of junk to enlarge them. My mother has seen the actual photos from someone whose son worked for them.
They give steroids to cows to get more meat out of 'em.
This has already been proven. I think they created most diseases we have in a lab somewhere, too. Evil bastards.
Don't believe it, just google The Tuskegee Incident.

    organic farms dont do that.

Accordingly to the NIH, washing the spinach does no good because the ecoli is bound so tightly to it.

on cnn they brought up terrorism.

the lady opened the story up by asking if our farms are safe in this time of heightened terror.... i thought that was... interesting....

Guess most of yall haven't read the recent numerous online articles on this problem.

Appears this particular valley has a history of similar contamination.
Doesn't matter if we're discussing conventional or the ripoff 'organic' ones
as there's a strong possibilty contaminated flood waters are the e.coli's delivery system.
Haven't read exactly where the e.coli originates - only possibilities.

Sux cuz there's no hot spinach salad to be found...
