Not that I'm in any position right now to take a trip to A-Dam, are these ticket prices for real? I looked on travelocity on a whim and the tiks were all around 1,000, but this site has so many cheap tickets. Can it really cost 500 or less for round trip flights? http://www.cheapflights.com/flights/Amsterdam/Logan-Intl/
if they are coach then yes....... 1st off: flight dates in october are not as expensive as the summer 2nd off: the MOST i have EVER paid round trip in 6 trips has been $650 roundtrip this past May. Back in 98' roundtrips were costing $249.00
I've only flown to florida a few times, so I didn't know much about over sea's rates, but this makes a possible trip to A-Dam much more believable within a few years... Thanks for the info and link!
good luck prepping for your first trip! i will add this.... if you can "rough it a bit" by american standards, an a-dam trip can be very cheap. a private room for one with shared bath can be found for 40 euro (50 dollars) per night near overtoom. a dorm bed can be found for 15-30 euro per night. a double room with shared bath can be found in haarlem for under 50 euro per night. airfare set ya back $400-$700 USD depending on when you go. realistically you can do 7-10 days for $1500 but its more fun with more cash
I've found that Martinair is the cheapest right now for me. 669. to go in November and that includes all taxes, PLUS it's nonstop. There are no other nonstop flights from here, which saves me many hours in extra traveling time and going through different airports. Anyone ever flown Martinair to Amsterdam before?
The day of the week that you strat your trip is important. M, tu, W and even early on Th can be cheapest. Make sure your trip includes a "Saturday stay." Cut the price dramatically. I search and search until the trip costs no more than $500 and is N/Stop. Right now NW air (partner w/KLM means N/s flights from some cities) has a deal where one can use Frequent Flyer points and regular $ to "buy" tickets.
Sweet deal. I dont mind 'roughing it' in the least. Who cares how small the room is, I'd plan to spend as little time as possible in it anyway. Plus I'm broke enough as is, so the more I can save on lodging the more I can spend in cafe's and restaurants!
you can always save up your cash and meet the pigs come april for queensday....or go in december/january/febuary for the cheapest deals, either way you'll enjoy yourself.....just more in april
alright mopperm but your making the loan THIS time and ispica is making an I.O.U. illustration with YOU in it!
I used this to get my Thanksgiving flight and paid about $400 round trip. You can pay more than that to travel within the state of Texas! With the exception of one year when I came to A'dam in the middle of the summer, I've never paid more than $600. The deals are definitely out there if you keep an eye out.
Don't give our illustrious president any ideas Koopa; there's too much disrespect in this world as it is.
